Mr. John Vincent Bond, Jr.

Mr. John V. Bond, Jr. was born October 3, 1950 in Saginaw, Michigan the son of John Bond, Sr. and Lucille Petty. Our loved one passed away on May 16, 2025 at the age of 74 years. He was a graduate of Saginaw High School “Mighty Trojans Class of 1968” and continued his education at Central Michigan University graduating in 1972. John was a faithful member of New Covenant Christian Center and known to the congregation as Usher Bond. He retired as the Deputy Fire Marshall from Saginaw Fire Department. He was a substitute teacher, an employee of Evans & Browne’s Funeral Home and he enjoyed playing Senior Basketball for several years at Center Courts. Mr. John Bond, Jr. leaves to cherish his memory, his devoted wife of 44 years, Lynnette Bond; three sons, John Bond III of Dearborn, MI, Joshua (Andrea) Bond of Saginaw, MI and Jevin Bond of Niceville, FL; granddaughter, Jurnee Bond of Saginaw, MI; two sisters, Phyllis Sharper and Jennifer Jackson, both of Saginaw, MI; five brothers, Ricky (Patrice) and Eric (Trena) Bond, both of Milwaukee, WI, Phillip Bond of Washington, DC, Vince (Lestine) and Mark Petty, both of Saginaw, MI; three sisters-in-law, Carroll Green, Sheila White and Delorse Bond; two brothers-in-law, Darrell McDaniel and Alex McDaniel; god-daughter, Santidra Thompson; god-son, Trevor Culpepper, Jr.; special daughter of the heart, Taiyel Carter; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends including special friend, Tyronza Snowden. Mr. Bond, Jr. was preceded in death by his father, John V. Bond, Sr.; mother, Lucille Petty; step-father, Luther Petty; brother, Gary Bond and Jerome Bond; sister, Vicki Staton; father and mother-in-law, James and Mary McDaniel. Family hour will take place at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 24, 2025 at New Covenant Christian Center, 2395 S. Outer Dr., Saginaw, MI 48601 with funeral service commencing at 11:00 a.m. Apostle Ron Frierson will officiate. Interment will take place in Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3210 S.
