John Love

Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 18, 2012 at Tabernacle Baptist Church, 810 Cathay Street. Pastor Thomas J. London will officiate with interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call at Browne's Mortuary, 441 North Jefferson Avenue, on Friday from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. The family will be present from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. for the family hour. Mr. John Iveory Love passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at the age of 79 years. He was born on August 9, 1932 in Jackson, TN, the son of Will and Annie (Womack) Love. He graduated from Denmark High School in Jackson, TN, later moving to Saginaw, MI where he resided for 56 years. Mr. Love retired from the Malleable Iron Foundry after 41 years of service. He enjoyed playing dominos and spades, attending Saginaw High boy’s basketball games, watching western movies and sports, especially wrestling, Lakers and Cowboys games. He was a loving husband and he loved playing with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Stella Marie (Rose) Love; four daughters and four sons, Iveory Mae Morris of Saginaw, MI, Joseph (Viola) Love of Shreveport, LA, Bertha Love of Saginaw, MI, John W. Love of Decatur, GA, Linda (Billy) Love Ware, Frank Darnell Love, Doris Ann Rose, all of Saginaw, MI and Jerry Wayne Rose of Houston, TX; 14 grandchildren, Stephen Hill, Andrew Rose, Nate Morris, Iveory Nicole (Maurice) Perkins, Lashanda Love, Omar Rose, Deondra Rose, Billy Ware, Jr., Tennelle Love, Joslyn Love, Ny’Ara Love, Sonney Holes, Christopher Morris and Jonathon Morris; 13 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Novella Fredrick of St. Louis, MO and Elnora Yarbrough of Jackson, TN; one brother, Willie (Elnora) Love of Jackson, TN; brother-in-law, Kelley (Dorcelia) Rose of Jackson, TN; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, including special friends, John Jackson, Jr., Albert Green, Claude Cowart and Pell Malone. Mr. Love was preceded in death by his parents, Will and Annie Love; brothers, Raymond, Charlie and James Love; sisters, Venilla Moore and Dorothy Jean Bond; grandchildren, Damon Damar and Deondra Lamar Love; brothers-in-law, Eugene Yarbrough and Jimmy Rogers Moore.
