Ms. Karen Lynn Ector

Ms. Karen Lynn Ector was born August 11, 1968, to Curtiss and Marguerite Ector. She went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at the age of 54. Karen received her education in the Saginaw and Bridgeport Public School systems, graduating from Bridgeport High School in 1986. After completing her high school education, she attended and graduated from Michigan State University in 1990 with a Bachelor of Arts in Finance Administration. Karen relocated to Virginia in 1997 to be with her brother, where she resided for the past 25 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She also had a passion for traveling with her sister Veronica where they visited over 25 states domestically and 10 countries internationally. She worked in corporate America for several years before becoming an entrepreneur. She started her own business where she serviced many clients throughout the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia as a payroll consultant. Karen leaves to cherish her memory her loving and caring parents, Curtiss and Marguerite Ector of Bridgeport, Michigan; two loving and devoted daughters, Dr. Brianna Ector of Athens, Georgia and Kalyne Orr of Alexandria, Virginia; one brother, Reginald Johnson of Stafford, Virginia and two sisters, Denise (Eric) Quarles of Alpharetta, Georgia and Veronica Ector, of Stafford, Virginia; five nieces and nephews, Terrence Maynor, Reandrea Johnson, Ariee (Destiny) Johnson, of Virginia, Kennedy and Kendal Quarles of Alpharetta, Georgia; six great-nieces and nephews, Jayla Haggins, Isaac Breslau, Leah, Knovah, Areeya and Zuri Johnson, all of Virginia; one uncle, Theodore (Mary) Jackson; four aunts, Willie M. Tatum, Clara Jackson, Carrie Jackson-Zackrie, and Maple Brown, all of Saginaw, Michigan; many cousins, other relatives, and friends including a dear friend and classmate,Yolanda Gray. Family hour 10:00 AM Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, 130 North 11th Street, Saginaw, MI, with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM Pastor Johnie F. Edwards, Sr., Host Pastor and Dr. Craig Tatum, officiating. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3210 South Washington Avenue. Visitation 9:00 AM until the time of service.
