Ms. Khailia T. Warren

On Saturday, June 30, 2018, our ethereal AngelBaby, Khailia Tarea Warren, ascended into Heaven after gaining her much deserved Heavenly wings. God needed a beautiful flower to complete His garden for the season. She is now in full bloom alongside our eternal Father, free from the suffering and cares of this world. Her strength, perseverance and positive spirit serve as an example to all she left behind. Khailia, affectionately known as “Khai” was born on Friday, September 20, 1991, in Saginaw, Michigan to Kendra Tineen Warren and Terry Richard Mills, Jr. Khai was Kendra and Terry’s first born child. She was an incredibly gifted person and excelled in everything: academia, sports, music, voice, dance, and theatre. She had a nurturing spirit. She was so beautiful that oftentimes complete strangers would gravitate to her angelic aura. She was equally just as beautiful on the inside. Very tall and statuesque, when she would walk, it was as if she were floating. Khai was a lifelong member of Bethel A.M.E. Church in Saginaw, MI. A 2010 graduate of Penn Foster High School, she attended Central Michigan University in Mount Pleasant, MI where she majored in Theatre. Khai excelled in her collegiate studies and really enjoyed college life. She was one year from obtaining her baccalaureate degree when a major illness prevented her from completing her studies.However, her love for acting never diminished as she would continue to receive casting calls for stage plays. Khai’s zeal for life was evident in everything she experienced. She loved all water sports such as swimming, snorkeling, banana boating and jet skiing. She loved riding rollercoasters and made it a point to travel to amusement parks throughout the country. Traveling around the world was her greatest joy. Khai was fascinated by other cultures and was a history buff. Khai leaves behind her parents, Kendra Warren, Detroit, MI and Terry Mills, Jr., Canton, MI; one sister, Skyler Mills, Southfield, MI; three brothers, Jonathan Hinton, Deyonis (Naseralyn) Hinton, Saginaw, MI; Saleem (Quentrese) Hinton, Toledo, OH; paternal grandparents, Emma Mills, Romulus, MI and Terry (Sandy) Mills, Sr., Wayne, MI; two aunts, Rhonda Warren, Detroit, MI; LaJuan (Michael) Gray, Romulus, MI; three uncles, Reginald Warren, Saginaw, MI; Morris Thomas and Torrey (Yvetta) Mills; Romulus, MI; two goddaughters, Emma and Amelia Medina; godparents, Doris & John Hinton, Lisa Jones, Saginaw, MI; one godsister, Carla Hinton, Saginaw, MI; one godbrother, Jordon Jones, Saginaw, MI; special cousins, Tiffany Gray, Austin, TX; Taylor Fife, Saginaw, MI, Amaria Smith, Lawrenceville, GA; best friends, Krystal Thompson and Courtney Medina, Saginaw, MI; her beloved snorkie, PepperAnn Warren, Detroit, MI and several cousins and friends throughout the world. Khai was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Ethel Mathis-Warren & Willie Warren, Jr. and one aunt, Beverly Regina Warren. Khai’s earthly presence will be forever missed. Family hour will take place at 10: 00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at Bethel A.M.E. Church, 535 Cathay Street, Saginaw, MI 48601, with funeral service commencing at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Dennis Laffoon will officiate with interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3210 S. Washington St., Saginaw, MI 48601.
