Ms. Krystal Lynette Turner

Ms. Krystal Lynette Turner, beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin and friend passed away surrounded by her loving devoted family at Covenant Healthcare Cooper on March 31, 2026 at the age of 40 years. Krystal was born to the parents of Diane Turner and Dennis Baker on November 11, 1985 in Saginaw, Michigan Krystal was a life-long resident of Saginaw and attended the Saginaw Public School System. Krystal worked at the East Side Soup Kitchen for several years as a Food Preparer for the after-school program. She loved her job and was a very diligent worker. Krystal attended Messiah Missionary Baptist Church. She and her sisters, Diamond and Sparkles were the epitome of sisterly love. The three were always together. As Krystal ‘s health declined, her sisters were there to take care of her. She loved going out to eat, shop and attend family gatherings. Krystal also loved watching movies on Lifetime and BET. She loved her family dearly and her family loved her the same. Krystal’s last words were, “Sparkles and Diamond” and they quickly responded, “We love you”. Krystal will be missed and will forever be in our hearts. Krystal leaves to cherish many precious memories, her father, Dennis Baker; sisters, who loved her dearly, Diamond and Sparkles Turner; her beloved grandmother, Mary Turner; aunts, Deborah Lampkin and Terri Galavis; uncle, Korrey Turner, great-aunts, Ida Helton, Juanita (Darrell) Drake and Nancy (Henry) Johnson; great-uncles, Roosevelt (Yvonne) Helton, Jr., Curtis (Louise) Helton, Sr. and Charles (Mary) Helton; cousins that were like sisters and brothers, Candice Turner, Deshawn Johnson and Tory Turner; special little cousins, Toriono Turner (who helped take care of her), Taylor Johnson, Bronx and Bleu Turner; many other special cousins, relatives and friends, including special friends, Billy Richardson and Ramona Rice. Krystal was preceded in death by her mother, Diane Turner; brother, Dominique Turner; grandfather, Jessie Samuels; great-grandparents, Rosevelt and Adline Helton, Sr; cousins, Roosevelt Antoine and Antionesha Helton; aunt, Brenda Helton and uncle, Reginald Lampkin. The family would like to express special thanks to Pastor Otis and Sis. Washington and the Messiah Missionary Baptist Church family, the staff of Covenant Healthcare Cooper ICU and the Evans & Browne’s Funeral Home staff. Family hour will take place at 10:00 a.m with the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 17, 2026 at Messiah Missionary Baptist Church, 2615 Williamson Rd., Saginaw, MI 48601. Pastor Otis Washington will officiate with interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3210 S. Washington, Saginaw, MI 48601. Visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
