Mr. Larry "Hog" Gray

Larry "Hog" Gray was born August 30, 1951 in Saginaw, Michigan to Andrew Lacey and Claudia Mae Wills. He passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at the age of 67 years. Larry graduated from Saint Joseph Catholic School, Class of 1969. He had been a longtime member of Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church. He was a retiree of Bay City Power Train Div. GM in Bay City, MI and was a member of UAW Local 362. Larry enjoyed watching and playing sports. His favorite teams were the Detroit Lions and the Detroit Pistons. He loved and enjoyed spending time with family and especially with his grandchildren. Mr. Gray is survived by his wife, Connie Gray; children, Charisee Koger and Crystal (Justin) Mills of Saginaw; grandchildren, Justin Mills and Mauryce Polk both of Saginaw, MI and expected granddaughter, Justice Mills; special nephew he raised as his son, Alexander Jackson, Saginaw; sisters, Azzilee O’Neal, Virginia Arnett, Betty Wills-Palmer, all of Saginaw; brothers, Claude (Genita) Wills, Johnny (Laura Jean) Haywood, both of Saginaw; god-son, Corey (Zekevya) Moore, Dallas, TX; god-brother, John Rogers, Fort Wayne, IN; god-sisters, Cheryl Moore and Lesley Kaiser both of Saginaw; aunts, Ernestine Burley, Saginaw, Margaret Gray, Jersey City, NJ, Lillie Hopkins, Tuscaloosa, AL and Linda Donald, Ohio; sisters-in-law, Rene McCall, Saginaw and Nicole Richardson, Baltimore, MD; brothers-in-law, John (Wanda) Jackson, and Jimmy Jackson, both of Birmingham, AL, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends, including special friends, Jesse McGee, Saginaw and several other close friends. Larry was preceded in death by his mother, Claudia Wills; father, Andrew Lacey; grandparents, Azzilee and Walter Harrell; a brother, John McCall; sisters, Cheryl “Shell” Wills Davis and Patricia “Tina” Davis; special nephew, Derwin O’Neal, nephew, Darrell McDaniel, Jr.; special sister-in-law, Cindy Jackson; brother-in-law, Willie Weaver, Jr. The family would like to express special thanks to Covenant Heathcare doctors and nurses, U of M Ann Arbor, Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church family and Evans & Browne’s Funeral Home staff. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 22, 2019 at Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church, 810 Cathay Street,Saginaw, MI 48601. Pastor Blake Strozier will officiate with interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3210 South Washington Avenue, Saginaw, MI 48601. Friends may call at the Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 N. Jefferson Ave., Saginaw, MI 48607 on Thursday from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. Family will be present from 6:00-8:00 p.m. to greet friends.
