Mr. Larry West Sr.

Mr. Larry West, Sr. was born October 15, 1959 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Mr. Eddie Miles West, Sr. and Mrs. Lottie Lee West. He passed away on October 8, 2024 at the age of 64 years. He met the love of his life, JoAnn Johnson in 1983, they were married on June 16, 1992. Affectionately nicknamed, “Doby”. Larry was an intelligent man who loved to read books, travel, play sports, dress well, socialize, take pictures, dine at fine restaurants and party. He insisted on wearing hats to complete his ensemble like his daddy, Mr. Eddie Miles. In his own words, he loved to shop and shower his family with quality gifts. Because of his passion for working with computers, Larry opened a business named, Complete Computer Networking Solutions. A person of detail his motto was, to do everything in excellence. He leaves to cherish many memories, his wife and best friend, JoAnn Johnson-West; children, Larry West, Jr. Larkin and Lakin West; grandchildren, Larry West III, Cheyenne, London and Aubrey West; sisters, Dorothy Jones, Dianne and Yvonne West and Shirley (JT) Jones; brothers, Tyrone (Gogi) West and Dewayne West; sisters-in-law, Patrichia and Tiashonna Foster and Brianna Sims; brothers-in-law, Jerome Johnson, Micheal Thomas, Al Stinson and Phillip Studmore; fathers-in-law, Albert Foster and Malcolm Roach; many nieces, nephews and special friends, Danny Madison, Clinton Johnson, Earl Johnson, Gus and Barbara Alexander. Mr. Larry West, Sr. was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Velma T. Roach; brothers, Eddie M. West, Jr. and Roy West; sister, Eddie Mae Smith; brothers-in-law, Jimmy Jones, L. W. Smith, Ronrico Foster and Al Fosten. We will remember Larry West, Sr. as a man of adventure, laughter, love, fun and family. Family hour 10:00 AM Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at Christ Fellowship Baptist Church, 818 N. Washington Ave., Saginaw, MI 48601, with Funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM, Pastor Robert Davis, Jr, officiating. Interment will take place in Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3210 S. Washington Ave., Saginaw, MI 48601. Visitation will take place on Monday at the funeral home from 2:00 until 6:00 p.m.
