Mrs. Lela Mae "Fuzzy" Thomas

Lela Mae Thomas "Fuzzy" was born on August 6, 1957 in Saginaw, Michigan to Willie Lee and Mary Frances Jones. She passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at the age of 62 years. Lela was the most loving and warmhearted person any one could meet. She adored her husband and children. She enjoyed fishing and going camping with her husband. Lela also enjoyed cooking for her family, hosting family gatherings and cookouts, playing bingo and traveling. Mrs. Thomas leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Robert Thomas; two sons, Dontae and Robert Thomas, Jr.; one step-daughter, Kemeshia Walker; grandchildren, Dontarius, Dontae, Jr., Lataya, Taevion, Viontae, Jayda and Kamyla Thomas, Kayden Duel, Kiri Spears, Joshua and Jeremiah Walker, Ezekiel Flores; four sisters, Ruby McCoy of Fort Pierce, FL, Willie Anitris Jones, Linda (Alex ) McCall and LaVera Webb of Toledo, OH; one brother, Bobby Jones; three sisters-in-law, Jennell Martin of Saginaw, MI, Sheena Jones of Kalamazoo, MI and Tasha Thomas of Saginaw, MI; one brother-in-law, Tarrell Thomas, Virginia; nieces and nephews, Eric and Flecia McGriff, Samual and Amantha McCoy, all of Hollywood, FL, Crystal Jones of Las Vegas, NV, Antwan Swilley, Elkhart, IN, Monique Jones, Kalamazoo, MI, Davon and Whitney Jones, Mary and Alex McCall, Jr., Nikita and Shya Jones, all of Saginaw, MI; many other relatives and friends, including special friends, Theresa Flores, Joanne Farrington, Lolo Williams, Francine Hendson and Grace Turner. Lela was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Mary Jones; one grandson, Robert Thomas III; one sister, Judy Swickord; one nephew, Bobby Jones, Jr., father and mother-in-law, Leroy and Jeanette Thomas and one sister-in-law, Alverta Thomas; aunt, Roselee Davis. The family would like to express special thanks to Well Springs Lutheran Services, Frankenmuth, MI, caregivers, Mary and Ruby, Pastor Walter McCall and the House of Prayer Baptist Church family and Evans & Browne’s Funeral Home. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at House of Prayer Missionary Baptist Church, 2233 King Road, Saginaw, MI 48601. Pastor Walter McCall, pastor and Minister Cornelious Johnson will officiate with interment in Buena Vista Cemetery, 612 South Airport Road, Saginaw, MI 48601. Friends may call at the Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 N. Jefferson Ave., Saginaw, MI 48607 on Monday from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m.
