Mr. Lionell "Sgt. Dog" Terrell Sr.

Mr. Lionell “Sgt. Dog” Terrell, Sr. passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2020 at the age of 72 years. Lionell was born May 19, 1947 in Denham, Louisiana to Richmond and Callie (Johnson) Terrell. Lionell attended Saginaw High School, after which he served in the United States Army and received an honorable discharge. He retired from Malleable Iron General Motors Plant, was a member of UAW Local 455 and retired after 46 years of service. Mr. Terrell enjoyed fishing, cooking, playing dominos, gardening, planting flowers, building things and going to the casino with his loving wife, Dorothy. Lionell enjoyed being with his family. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 45 years, Dorothy Jean Terrell; sons, Lionell Terrell, Jr., Saginaw, MI, Bryant Terrell, Orlando, FL; a daughter, Felicia Linnet Phillips, Saginaw, MI; grandchildren, Keenan Smith, Keenan Crayton, Bricharise Terrell, Savannah Blunt, Lionell Terrell III; sister, Martha Lockhart, Bobby Jean Sowell and Shampoo; brother, Russell (Paula) Terrell; sister-in-law, Willa Eli (Banks), Ella (Booker T) Marshall; 15 plus nieces including Nicole, Brenda, Laquita, Courtney, Marilyn, Shay, Theresa, Conchota, Ashley, Tammie, Myami, Tiffany, Ashyarri, L’Oreal and Myoshi; nephews, Dave, Jr., Troy, Baron Demarcus, Louis, Vernon, Eugene, Jr., Timothy, Joseph, DeShawn, Jamie, David and Rudolph; brothers-in-law, Willie Earl Banks and Leslie Banks; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends including Mr. Artie, Mr. John, Mr. Weems, Ed Hardy and Dwight. Mr. Terrell was preceded in death by his parents, Richmond and Callie Terrell; sisters, Mary, Yvonne, Corrie and Betty Lee; brothers, Eugene, Sr., Louis, Sr., Richard and Harry and brother-in-law, James Banks, Jr. Friends may call at Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 N.
