Mrs. Lorise Marie Granderson

Mrs. Lorise Granderson, a loving proud mother, beloved grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend, passed away peacefully and went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 at the age of 74 years. Mrs. Lorise Marie (Gant) Granderson was born February 18, 1949 in Charleston, Missouri to Ralphus and Develar Gant. She was one of nine children and affectionately known as Mrs. Loise. Lorise lived a life that made a significant impact thorough her love of children, family and friends She loved going to church and was a longtime member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church where she sang in the choir. She enjoyed fishing, traveling and sitting on the porch. Mrs. Granderson leaves to cherish loving memories, eight daughters and seven sons, Angeline (Brian) Bond, Albert and Robert Ramsey, Elaine Henderson, Deshondus (Rev. Dr. Delwin) Tatum, Deshon Ramsey, James (Sharon) Granderson, Brenda, Charles, Anthony, Chesla, Demetrise and John Granderson, Jordan (Ericka) Granderson, all of Saginaw and Mary Granderson, Memphis, TN; a host of grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren and a host of great-great-grandchildren; siblings, Clara Walls, Margie Kirkwood, Ollie Howard, Rosie, Author and Cornelius Gant; god-mother, Irene Conner; godchildren, Lorise Pulliman, Lucresia and Demetrius Henderson, and Shaline Sullivan; god-sisters, Mary Henderson and Delena Conner; nieces and nephews including special nieces and friends, Sherley Watkins, Tammy Johnson, Fannie Nichols and Joyce Sullivan. Mrs. Lorise Marie Granderson was preceded in death in by her loving husband, James T. Granderson; son, Derrick Granderson; parents, Ralphus and Develar Gant; two brothers, Joe and Sylvester Gant; a good friend, Sylvia A. Hill. The family would like to express special thanks to Robin, Chris Andi and Viola of First State Home Health and Hospice care; Shiloh Baptist Church family, Evans & Browne’s Funeral Home, her Pastor, Dr. Vincent D. McMillon and St. Paul Baptist Church family. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, September 11, 2023 at St. Paul Baptist Church, 120 N. 15th Street, Saginaw, MI, 48601. Rev. Dr. Vincent McMillon will officiate. Interment will take place iin Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3210 South Washington Avenue, Saginaw, MI 48601. Friends may call at Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 N. Jefferson Ave., Saginaw, MI 48607 on Sunday, from 3:00-8:00 p.m.
