Mrs. Ludie Robinson

Our matriarch, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, Mrs. Ludie Robinson, was called to the loving arms of our Lord and Savior on October 5, 2017 at the age of 84 years. She was born April 1, 1933 in Eupora, Mississippi the daughter of the late Rev. John C. and Veronia Robinson. She attended Eupora High School where she met and married the love of her life the late Earon Robinson on June 30, 1951. She moved with her family to Saginaw, Michigan where she joined Mt. Olive Institutional Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the Rev. R.B. Bradley. Mrs. Robinson was a Deaconess, Usher and served on the Kitchen Ministry. She was known for her peach cobbler and green beans. After working at Hoyt Nursing Home for 3 years, she later worked for Saginaw General Hospital (Covenant Healthcare-Harrison) and retired after 25 years of service. She leaves to cherish her memory, 4 daughters, Joyce Robinson, Saginaw, MI, Yvonne Robinson-Long of Flint, MI, Cathy Robinson Belvin of Saginaw, MI and Beverly Robinson-Rolack (Charles) of Atlanta, GA; 9 grandchildren, Tasha Robinson-White (Kevin), Las Vegas, NV, James III, Eon Hatter, Mariyah Rolack, Atlanta, GA, Christopher Belvin, Las Vegas, NV, Tyra Long, Flint, MI, Lawrence Robinson, DeMychael Robinson, Charlotte, NC and Chayna McMillan, Ontario, CA; 11 great-grandchildren, Jaelin and Kevin White, Robert Weatherspoon, Xia and Seniya’, Trey and Tye Robinson, Cinaia McMillan, Nahla McMillan, Ensley and Ellyson Hatter; 1 great-great-grandchild, Shane Weatherspoon; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins including 2 special nieces that were like sisters, Margaret Carter and Elsie Hightower; 4 godchildren, Duane Farris, Brenda Palmer, Nikiesha Carswell, Nikia Cliff; her daughter-in-law, Willabea Robinson; many other relatives and friends including special friends, Inell Jackson, Ella Powell, Gladys Humes and Lorraine Bond. She was predeceased by her husband, Earon Robinson; her only son, Larry Robinson; grandson, Kahlil Robinson; parents, Rev. John C. and Veronia Robinson; 4 brothers and 3 sisters. The family would like to express special thanks to Dr. Balcueva and staff, Oncology Department of St. Mary's of Michigan, Health Source and staff, Dr. Lekka Richardson, Dr. Llewlyn, Hospice staff, Audrey “Cookie” Palmore and Rev. J. Bernard Harris. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Mt. Olive Institutional Missionary Baptist Church, 1114 N. 6th Street. Dr. Marvin T. Smith will officiate. Friends may call at the Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 N. Jefferson Ave. on Friday from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m.
