Ms. Marcella Jones

Our dearly beloved Marcella Marie Fletcher Crudup-Jones passed away on Friday, March 25, 2022 in Saginaw, Michigan. She was born May 8, 1960 in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was blessed with three parents, her mother, Bobbie J. Fletcher (Prenethus) Crudup; birth father, Robert (RL) Johnson. Marcella was raised and educated in Saginaw. Marcella was saved at a very young age. She was a dedicated member of Bethlehem Temple Church, Saginaw; she was strong in faith, a loving, praying and very God-fearing woman. She loved attending church. Down through the years she has been active with the Missionary Staff, Sunday school, Usher Board and sang in the Missionary Choir. She loved her parents dearly and took excellent care of them. Marcella was a graduate of Buena Vista High School and later earned an Associate’s Degree from Great Lakes College. She worked in several office positions for various companies. She enjoyed cooking, baking, shopping and spending time with her children and her grand-dog, Lady Lorrani Jones (Lawrence’s dog) who she truly loved. Marcella leaves to cherish many memories, two children, Lawrence Jones and Evan Jones; fathers, Prenethus Crudup and Robert (RL) Johnson; sisters, Mena, Monica, Robbye and Easter Johnson, and Lisa Martin, all of Arkansas; one brother, Prenethis (Shannon) Williams of Michigan; aunts, Mattie Fletcher-Starks, Arkansas, Easter Sanders and Gloria (Lincoln) Taylor, both of California, Wanda Lewis, Arkansas, Erma J. (Aubrey) Harris, California, and LaDoris (Bernard J.) Coates, California; uncles, Theodore (Gerdie) Holmes and Charles Johnson, both of Arkansas; many other uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, many friends including special friends, Mother Maebel Williams and Min. Lucille Trice and Sis. Deattie McGlothin. She was preceded in death by her mother, Bobbie Jean Fletcher-Crudup; sisters, Debra Fletcher, Shelia Crudup, Kristi Johnson and grandparents, Lawrence and Nettie Fletcher; a very special aunt, Retha McIntosh. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 4, 2022 at Bethlehem Temple, 3521 Webber Street, Saginaw, Michigan 48601. Elder Curtis Johnson will officiate. Interment will take place in Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3210 South Washington Avenue, Saginaw, Michigan 48601. Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 until 6:00 p.m.
