Mr. Marvel RaSheed Mayo

Marvel RaSheed Mayo was born on Friday, July 9, 1999, in Saginaw, Michigan, to Sheila Carter and Arthur Mayo Sr. He transitioned from this life suddenly on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at the young age of 26. A lifelong resident of Saginaw, Marvel was known for his creative spirit, kind heart, and unwavering love for those around him. He attended Bridgeport School District and SVRC, where he built many lasting relationships and memories. Marvel had a deep passion for music, art, and self-expression. He found his voice through rap and creativity, performing under the name "No Lack" a name that reflected his determination and his constant presence for the people he loved. To those who knew him, Marvel never lacked in giving love, support, or kindness. His lyrics, like his life, were filled with meaning and heart. He enjoyed writing, rapping, listening to music, taking peaceful walks, and engaging with his favorite video games. Marvel had a soft spot for animals and a talent for artistic expression, but above all, he cherished the time spent with his children, nephews, and niece. Marvel leaves to cherish his memory: two beautiful children, Jadien Crosby and MyAna Mayo; his devoted parents, Sheila Carter and Arthur Mayo Sr.; his loving grandparents, Mary Carter and Charles (Margaret) Roots; his brothers, Jeremey (Tasha) Carter and Arthur (Veronica) Mayo; niece, Valerie Mayo; nephews, Zeke Mayo and Malachi Carter; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Walker Carter; great-grandmother, Madea; brother, Cameron Price; cousin, Ralph Curry Jr.; and cherished friends, Hunter Madison, Letavian Greer, Keyshawn Abraham, and others who went before him. Marvel’s spirit, creativity, and warmth touched many lives. His family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to all of his friends who stood by him, uplifted him, and loved him deeply. Though he may be gone from this earth, Marvel’s light continues to shine through the memories he created and the love he left behind. Family Hour will take place at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 N. Jefferson Ave., Saginaw, MI 48607, with the funeral service commencing at 11:00 a.m. Bishop Maurice Hopgood will officiate. Visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
