Mrs. Mary Campbell-Williams

For God so loved the world that He gave his only Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. Mrs. Mary Ann Campbell-Williams, age 75 years, went to meet our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on April 10, 2023 of natural causes at Aurora St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She was born March 4, 1948 in Independence, LA to Wilmer Jennings and Beatrice Booker. She was lovingly raised by Aunt Charity Coaxam (Mother). Mary graduated from Greenville Park High School (GO HORNETS) in Hammond, Louisiana in 1966 where she participated in soccer, choir, and many other activities. In the 1970’s she lived in several major cities before settling down in Saginaw, Michigan along with Dudley and Canglea. Mary was a faithful and active member of Candlelight Missionary Baptist Church participating in several choirs, bible study and kitchen committee. She was also elected secretary of the “Golden Ages” Group. Mary worked as an Activity Coordinator for seniors at the Buena Vista Community Center, Grandparents Helper for the Saginaw School District, Security Guard and line worker for General Motors Corporation. In her leisure time, she enjoyed playing softball and was known as “High Gear”, as a member of Sons of Zodiac Motorcycle Club. Mary loved all genres of music, especially gospel. She enjoyed and loved traveling to visit family and friends across the country. Mary leaves to cherish her memory, a loving son, Dudley Williams (Karl), Okemos, MI; daughter, Canglea Williams, Milwaukee, WI; granddaughters, Zakhyria Vaughn, Autumn and Wynter Williams all of Milwaukee, WI; grandson, Ar’quevis Williams-Robinson of Milwaukee, WI; god-daughters, Amari Vaughn, Saginaw, MI, Cherryante Ann Hensley (Ron), Hammond, LA, and Lucille Browne (Kevin), Orlando, FL; special nephew, Windell Legard (Alice), Hammond, LA; special nieces, Michelle Primas and Kathy Primas-Morris (Don) both of Saginaw, MI; also survived by her sister, Brenda Jones, Ponchatoula, LA; a host of cousins, other nieces and nephews, relatives and countless friends including longtime friend/classmate Ruby Jackson; special friends Clara Mitchell, Martha Kelly and Reverend David and Dorothy Jackson. They will all miss her dearly. Mrs. Mary Ann Campbell-Williams was preceded om death by her loving husband, Robert Williams; her parents, Wilmer Jennings and Beatrice Booker; sister, Lois Primas; brother, Clarence Nichols; cousin/sisters, Lottie Mae Williams and Lucille Jennings; special friends, Frankie Robinson-Phillips “Too High” and Claudia Essex “Juicy”. Family hour will take place at 10:00 AM Saturday, April 22, 2023, at Candle Light Baptist Church, 3305 Ruckle St., Saginaw, Michigan 48601 with the funeral service commencing at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Willie Mills will officiate.
