Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 26, 2010 at True Vine Baptist Church, 2930 Janes Street. Rev. Paul E. Broaddus, Pastor. Rev. Columbus Clayton will officiate with interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call at Browne's Mortuary, 441 North Jefferson Ave., on Friday from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. Mrs. Wright passed away Saturday, June 19, 2010 at the age of 58 years. She was born July 15, 1951 in Durant, MS, the daughter of Christine Joyce and Casie McGee. Mrs. Wright was a member of True Vine Baptist Church. She married Freddie Wright on July 29, 1992. He preceded her in death. She was retired from SBC (Ameritech). She loved shopping, cooking, working in her flower garden, and most of all, she enjoyed being with her family. She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Manethia (Gregory Peoples) Banks and La'Key Hudson, all of Saginaw, MI; four stepchildren, Troy (Valarie) Wright and Karen Wright, all of Saginaw, MI, Celeste Wright, Ticfaw, LA and Deidra (Adrian) Gilbert, Indianapolis, IN; four grandchildren, Jeffery Hudson, Mariah Banks, Tayler Logan and Dominique Stewart, all of Saginaw, MI; four sisters, Louise Person, Chicago, IL, Annie Ruth Cotton, Saginaw, MI, Patricia Nash, Durant, MS and Dixie McCaskill, Greenwood, MS; two brothers, Henry and Johnny Joyce, both of Durant, MS; many nieces, nephews and cousins; five sisters-in-law, Gloria Wright, Houston, TX, Cynthenia McKinley, Hammond, LA, Vanatra Doughty and Marian Robinson, Hammond, LA and Bonnie Bradley, Southfield, MI; four brothers-in-law, Bryant, Conrad, Edward and Gregory Wright, all of Hammond. LA; and many other relatives and friends, including special friends, Deborah Abdullah, Betty Richardson, Amelia Johnson and Cucecil Banks, all of Saginaw, MI, Larry and Patricia Wooden, Indianapolis, IN. Mrs. Wright was preceded in death by her mother, Christine Joyce; father, Casie McGee; brother, Robert Joyce and sister, Emma Billups.
