Mr. Michael Nash

Our Beloved Son, Father, and Brother Michael DeAngelo Nash, also known as “Sonny Man” passed away Monday December 22,2025, at the age of 53. He was born February 20, 1972, in Saginaw, MI to Mary and Billie Nash. Michael attended Saginaw Public Schools and graduated from Saginaw High School in 1990. A man of many talents, Michael was known in his youth as an exceptional break dancer in his neighborhood. He later discovered his passion for barbering, a craft he mastered with skill, warmth, and care. His clients were more than customers—they were family, many of whom grew up in his chair. In addition to barbering, Michael was a gifted chef. Michael worked as a cook for 25 years and was employed at Tony’s Restaurant prior to his sudden illness in 2024. He loved to grill for his family on the holidays as well, and in his spare time when he was not cutting hair, he was shooting pool, playing spades and dominos, or bowling with his friends. Michael will be remembered for his kindness, his sense of humor and his infectious laugh. He had a unique ability to make everyone feel special. Michael was a member of New Galilee Full Gospel Baptist Church. He made the beautiful decision to be baptized and rededicate his life to Christ on November 25, 2025, and that gives us peace and hope. We know that his heart was committed to God, and because of that, we hold onto the promise that we will see him again. Michael leaves to cherish his memory of two daughters: Michaela and Makiyah Nash; granddaughter; Mei’Ori Fualau, father; Billie Nash, sisters; Betty and Cathy Nash, Brothers; Darryl (Amy) Nash, Glen (Juliet) Nash and Derek Smith, nieces; Sharda, Kelsey and Kaitlin Nash, nephews; Delvin, Kevin, and Glen Nash Jr., Darryl Johnson, and Joe Willie (Sophia) Jones, uncles; Stanley and Ricky Humphries, aunties; Betty (Joe) Gardner, and Eleanor Joiner, brother in love; Lamar Hood, special cousin; Juamark Williams and Leslie Bennett Greer, special friends; Crystal Nash, Brad and Brian Mannie, Alton Wicker and Sean Jones, best friend and mother of his daughter; Elizabeth Watley, and a host of cousins, other relatives, and friends. Michael was preceded in death by his mother; Mary Morris, stepfather; Carl Morris, grandparents; I.C. Nash and Gracie Skyes and Eddie (Ethel) Humphries Jr, uncles; Louis, Bob and Corbett Humphries; auntie; Marva Patterson, great uncle; James Nash and nephew; Raheem Nash. We, the Nash family, wish to express our deepest gratitude to Evans & Browne’s Funeral Home, the staff of Healthsource, the staff and owners of Tony’s restaurant, New Galilee Full Gospel Baptist Church, and everyone else for the love, comfort, and support we have received during this time of sorrow. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 N.Jefferson Ave., Saginaw, MI 48607. Pastor Aundrea Lewis will officiate. Visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
