Mrs. Ora Bell Jones

Ora Bell Jones, age 92 of Saginaw, Michigan, went to be with the Lord on January 4, 2024. She was born September 25, 1931, in Ackerman, Mississippi to the parents of William and Mary Crow Lillie. She accepted Christ as her personal Savior at an early age. She married Willie Lee Jones, Sr. (he preceded her in death). This union produced four children: Delores Jones Champion, Willie Lee Jones, Jr., Bruce Jones and Rex A. Jones (Kristie). Ora Bell worked for General Motors Corporation for many years and was a member of UAW. She was a dedicated member of Bethel A.M.E. Church-Saginaw for many years where she served as a member of the choir. Her hobbies included: crossword puzzles, ballroom dancing, bingo, watching Steve Harvey on Family Feud and spending time with her family and best friend, Tina Humphrey. Ora Bell leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Willie Lee Jones, Jr. of Saginaw, MI and Bruce Jones, Mesquite, TX; grandchildren, Kevin Champion of Saginaw, MI, Darryl Jones (Lynette) of Sanford, FL, Tamara Genwright (Anthony) of Nevada, TX, Maurey Donell (Michele) of Fort Worth, TX, Shanwtia Jones of Southfield, MI, Pachay Jones of Saginaw, MI, Nicole Milburn (Ronnie) of Saginaw, MI, Andrea Jones of Saginaw, MI, Kia Jones of Saginaw, MI, Akira Jones of Saginaw, MI, Jamaar Jones of Saginaw, MI, and Tawanda Mason of Dallas, TX; many great-grandchildren; beloved daughter in love Kristie Jones; nieces and cousins. Ora Bell was preceded in death by her daughter, Delores Champion; son, Rex A. Jones; grandson, Rex A. Jones, Jr; great-grand-daughter, Taylor Jones; parents, ex-husband, Willie Lee Jones Sr.; special friend, David Price; as well as brothers, sisters, nephews, cousins and other family members. The family would like to express special thanks to Bethel A.M.E. Church and Evans & Browne’s Funeral Home. Family hour will take place at 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 19, 2024 at Evans & Browne's Funeral Home Saginaw, MI 48607 with funeral service commencing at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Edward Jones will officiate with interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3210 S. Washington, Saginaw, MI 48601. Visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
