Mr. Osman Brummell

Mr. Osman L. (Mon) Brummell, our beloved son, brother, uncle and nephew of Saginaw, Michigan age 67 made his transitioned into his eternal rest on September 11, 2015. He was born February 12, 1948 in Guyana, South America, the son of Lisle and Lurline (Walks) Brummell. Osman retired from General Motors Grey Iron Foundry after 40 years of service. He was kindhearted and always willing to help others. Osman was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church under the leadership of Rev. William Boli and The Very Rev. Judith D. Boli. Mr. Osman Brummell leaves to cherish his memory; father, Lisle Brummell; brothers, Lansford Ossie (Patricia) Brummell, both of Saginaw, MI, Lennox O. Brummell of Dayton, OH and Leon (Debbie) Brummell of Plainfield, New Jersey; sisters, Osrene Ferguson of Detroit, MI, Lynn Oslin (Raymond) Presley of Saginaw, MI and Angela (Harry) Basey of Boston, MA; uncles, Michael (Patsy) Wood of London, England, Byron (Juliana) Henry of Toronto, Canada, Ivor (Dorothy) Henry and Patrick (Gloria) Williams, both of Saginaw, MI; aunts, Joyce Cordwell of Boston, MA and Yvonne (Carlton) Chalmers of Guyana, South America; special cousin and caregiver, Olga Greene and family; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins including special cousins, Vera Haynes, Shirley Griffith, Marilyn Benn, Yvonne Thomas, Gordon Walks, Donna Motten and Samuel Cordwell; other relatives including, the Walks, Woods Williams, Smith, Henry, Cordwell, Baird, Greene, Benn's, Chalmers, Cummings, Eastman's, Roberts, Coopers, Herods, Perry's, Presley's, Roaches, Brummell, Durant's, Thomas, Robinson, Grants and Mayer's families; a host of friends including special friends, Edith Cooper, Virginia Robinson, Gloria Taylor, Bernice McGlothin and Jessie. Mr. Brummell was preceded in death by his mother, Lurline Brummell; brother-in-law, Supt. Golden Ferguson; four aunts; seven uncles and cousins. The family wishes to express our gratitude in our time of bereavement. Osman left fond memories that will always be cherished by his family and friends. Funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 21, 2015 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 720 Tuscola Street. Rev. Judith Boli will officiate with interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 North Jefferson Avenue on Sunday from 2:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m.
