Mrs. Para Lee Redeemer

Paralee (Young) Redeemer was born on September 3, 1950, in Marvell, Arkansas to the late Lillian Young and Dave Young, Sr. She peacefully departed this life May 24, 2026 surrounded by the love of her family, leaving behind a legacy of faith, compassion, service and unconditional love. Paralee was a longtime resident of Saginaw, Michigan. She faithfully attended Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church and was a friend in Christ to many congregations, including St. Paul, True Vine and New Birth. Her faith guided her throughout her life and was reflected in the kindness and generosity she showed to everyone she encountered. Paralee worked for Walmart for many years and was affectionately known throughout the community as the neighborhood babysitter. She lovingly cared for countless children, treating each one as if they were her own. Her nurturing spirit, patient heart and willingness to help others made her a trusted figure to many families. When she was not working or caring for others, Paralee enjoyed talking on the phone with friends, attending church services, traveling and spending quality time with her family. She was known for opening her home and her heart to others. Her family will forever remember her delicious meals, loving advice, warm hugs and the laughter she brought into every room. To know Paralee was to know love, strength, resilience, and joy. Paralee was united in marriage to the love of her life, Owen Redeemer. Together they built a beautiful family and shared many cherished years together. She leaves to cherish her precious memory her loving children: Derrie (Bridgett) Young of Grand Rapids, MI, Lashana (Antoine) Henderson of Fort Worth, TX, Sheronda (Clarence) McGee of North Richland Hills, TX, Richard (Nicole) Redeemer of Birch Run, MI and Thomas Redeemer (Kateland Anderson) of Bedford, TX and Melvin (Shirley) Redeemer of Memphis, TN and Lester Redeemer of Saginaw, MI; bonus children Corey (Zekevya) Moore of Plano, TX, Angela (Larry) Campbell of Shelby Township, MI and Tariq (Ivory Giles) of Pittsburgh, PA; she also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, DeMarkus McGee, Aremoni Chambers, Toshiana McChriston-Redeemer, Derrie Young, Dequan Young, Brianna Young, Ari Redeemer, Owen Redeemer, Jazmine (Mark) Paige and Sharnae Price. Her legacy continues through her cherished great-grandchildren, DeMarkus, Jr., Danielle, Harmani, Jaheim, Jr. and Jaxton. She is also survived by her extended family members, church family, friends and all those whose lives were touched by her kindness and love. Paralee was preceded in death by her husband, Owen Redeemer; parents, Lillian Young and Dave Young, Sr.; sister, Mary; brothers, Donzell Young and Dave Young, Jr.; beloved other mother Mama Cindy; niece, Lashandria Moore; nephews Stacy and Michel Moore, Rev. Jerry Redeemer and George Redeemer; best friend, Alandya Taylor. Though our hearts are heavy, we find comfort in knowing that her love, wisdom and beautiful spirit will remain with us forever. Her memory will live on through the lives she touched, the family she loved and the countless acts of kindness she shared throughout her lifetime. “Well done, good and faithful servant.” Matthew 25:23 Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m., Thursday June 4, 2026 at Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church, 810 Cathay St., Saginaw, MI 48601. Pastor Blake Strozier will officiate. Interment will take place at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Rd., Holly, MI 48442. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
