Ms. Patricia "Pig" Jones

Ms. Patricia was born in Saginaw, Michigan to Albert Jones and Geraldine Layton. She passed away on Friday, May 19, 2023 at the age of 64 years. She was a lifelong resident of Saginaw, Michigan and attended Saginaw Public Schools. Patricia was a homemaker, enjoyed cooking and baking with her grandkids and family. She spoiled all of them. Patricia affectionately known as “Pig” to many and called “Granny” by her grandchildren. She would have movie nights with her grands. Patricia loved making Easter Baskets, showering her children and grandchildren with love while spending time with her mother, never forgetting a birthday or holiday to show her loving and caring nature side. She would talk with her baby sister Meshe, numerous times a day. Patricia would cook for her mother, Geraldine Layton and enjoyed family time tremendously. She loved her children Bugga, Boo and Cretia abundantly spending time cracking jokes and playing “Put some respect on my name” with her daughter-in-law, Dominque, also Dion and June. Patricia enjoyed going out to eat and was excited when someone would buy her gifts and show gratitude towards her acts of kindness. Not to mention when she didn’t agree with what someone was saying, she’d be quick to let you know, “You were blocked”. When, (if) she didn’t agree with what you said, she’d say, “Dat Part” to get the last words across in the conversation. “Pig” enjoyed Horror Films, Sy-fi and Action Movies. Ms. Patricia Ann Jones leaves to cherish many memories: lifelong companion, Coatis Anderson, Jr.; daughter, Lucretia Jones; two sons, Coatis (Dominique) Jones and Deonte’ Anderson; five grandchildren, Skyla Jones, Devarion and Periyae Burton, Karrington Hopkins and Hailey Jones; sisters, Sharon Hicks, Tracy and Demetra Jones; one brother, Earl Jones; nieces, LaDonna Jones, Andressa Alvarez, Neosha Durussell and Shayla Layton; nephews, Deronn Layton, Christopher Jones, Michael Jones, Dequevion Green and Marquavis Essex; one aunt, aunt Gussey of Detroit, MI ; cousins, other relatives and friends. Ms. Patricia Jones was preceded in death by parents, Albert Jones and Murphy Layton; sisters, Detrice Layton and Leada Jones; nieces, MaShondra Mannie and Maquetta Jones. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 5, 2023 at Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 N. Jefferson Ave., Saginaw, MI 48607. Pastor Ben Smith will officiate.. Visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3210 S. Washington, Saginaw, MI 48601.
