Mr. Richard Jerome Vaughn

The Lord has called another one of his victorious soldier’s home. Richard Jerome Vaughn was born to George and Jessie (Bixby) Vaughn on October 16, 1944 in St. Louis, Missouri. He received his wings December 24, 2017 at the age of 73 years. He had a very strong faith in the Lord and loved to serve God. He enjoyed spending time with his wife and family. He was a resident of Saginaw, MI and attended St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. He graduated from Saginaw High School in 1962 and had four years of college. He also served four plus years in the United States Army. He worked at Eaton Manufacturing for 35 years. Richard enjoyed helping others when he could. Mr. Vaughn leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 15 years, Sally Henderson-Vaughn; daughters, Mary (Gerald) Vaughn of Florida, Kimber Vaughn of Atlanta, GA, Lynita Vaughn of Grand Rapids, MI, Sharonda Damika and Lakeba Henderson all of Saginaw, MI; sons, Michael and Christopher Vaughn, D’Ontae and Nehemiah Henderson all of Saginaw, MI, Mason Henderson of Maryland, Dezarick Henderson of St. Louis, MI; a brother, Lenyon (Claudia) Vaughn of FLowermound, TX; sisters, Myrtle Vaughn of Tacoma Washington and Pashion Vaughn-Hall of Saginaw; grandchildren, Jessie Watson, Renee (Derrick) Boykins, Timothy (Misty) Klenoski, Jr., LaTasha (Russell) Fayson, Leselie McDonald III, Antonio Cuevas, Sr., Charles Ingram, Melissa Cuevas, LaTissa Ingram, Terrance McDonald, Jerome Ingram, Pete Cuevas II, Guadalupe Vaughn, Rossa Vaughn, Jamerson (Amy) McDonald, Sr., Sean’y’a McDonald, Juanita Vaughn, Toiry Wright, Michelle, Richard and Robert Vaughn, DeLashay Campbell, Justin Riley, Sasha and Briana Vaughn and Charbonneau; 68 great-grandchildren, many other relatives and friends. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, George and Jessie Vaughn; brother, Tommy Vaughn; sister, Georgia Mae Balls; children, Tion, Terry, David Klenoski, Cheryl Bass, Cynthia, Jimmie Henderson; mother-in-law, Marie Pritchett; father-in-law, James Pritchett; brothers-in-law, Jessie Horn, Jr., David and L.C. Pritchett; sister-in-law, Rose Pritchett. Funeral service will be Friday, January 5, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 720 Tuscola. The Very Rev. Judith Boli will officiate. Friends may call at the Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 North Jefferson Avenue, Saginaw, MI 48607 on Thursday from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m.
