Mr. Rodney Edwin Williams

Our Lord has airlifted Rodney’s soul into the kingdom of Heaven. Our son, grandson, brother, nephew, cousin and friend departed this life on Friday, October 7, 2016 at his residence, age 37 years. Rodney was born January 28, 1979 in Saginaw, MI the son of Sandra Wright-Williams and Rodney Robinson. Rodney was known for his cooking (grilling out) for his family, friends and neighbors. He loved to talk on the phone, watch movies and go fishing. Rodney was a big fan of the Detroit Lions. Mr. Williams leaves to cherish his memory, his parents, Sandra Williams and Rodney (Linda) Robertson; four sisters, Archia Jones, Vonetta Jones, Briona Robinson and Diamond Robinson; seven brothers, Noah Williams, Deandre Jackson, Damion Braddock, Jonathan Lawrence, Kian Broaden, Rodney Robinson, Jr. and Darrion Robinson; grandmother, Ellen Williams; step-parent, Gloria Thomas; god-parents, Albert Millege and Baron Lee; god-son, Nicholas Green, Jr.; aunts, Teresa (Theotis) Wilcoxon, Lori Wright and Carmela (Tommy) Thomas; uncle, J.E. Hardy; cousins, Terrence (Latoya) Williams, Stevie Miller, DeJuan Williams, Corey Wright, Tavaris Wilcoxon, Derrick Williams, Tanisha Wilcoxon, Natasha Williams, LaKenya Williams, Alicia Williams, Royce Ann Porter, Denise Degroat, Denise Miller, Keith Winfield, Jeff Wright, Jamie Sylvester, Devonne Lenzie, Aaron and James Thomas, Ronny and Ricky Robinson and Sonya Brown; many more cousins, other relatives and friends, including special friends, Elliott Badger, DeMarco McBride, Manuel Rodriguez, Charlie Powell, Duane Millege, Thomas Chandler, Dyamond Rowe, Tarik Jones, Lee Rodriguez, Tellis Everett, Charlie Powell, Demetrick Watkins and Albert Millege, Jr. Rodney was preceded in death by his, grandparents, Charles Williams and Annie Mae James; great-grandparents, William and Mable Wright; step-father, William Thomas; brother, Zerrick Braddock; uncle, Otis Allen; great-aunt, Bertha Wright; great-uncles, Joe wright, Obie Williams and Elwin (Margaret) Williams; special friend, Nicholas Green. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at the Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 North Jefferson Avenue. Rev. Randall Hardy will officiate with interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m.
