Mr. Ronnie Lee Essex

Mr. Ronnie Lee Essex passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2023 at the age of 59 years. He was born January 28, 1964 to the parents of Tommie and Johnnie Essex. Ronnie was a resident of Saginaw, Michigan and attended Buena Vista High School. He joined Rosehill Baptist Church at an early age. He enjoyed fishing, BBQing, being around family and friends keeping us laughing; and don’t forget, he loved getting out early searching for those great yard sales. He was showing off when he rode his bike backwards around the whole block. Ronnie Lee Essex leaves to cherish his memory, his parents, Tommie and Johnnie Essex; three daughters and four sons, Enjoli Yvonn Jeffries (Williams), Hallah Lee and Myaa Lee Essex, all of Saginaw, Isaiah Lee and Ronnie Lee Essex, Jr., Marquauis Essex and Marcus Lawrence Houshiar, all of Arizona; eight grandchildren; sisters, Janice (William) Monroe and Joanna Thompson both of Saginaw; god-brothers and sisters, Brenda Donahue, Barbara and Phillip Crook, Linda King, Elkhart, IN, Vicky Henry of Jackson, MS and Lakesha Essex of Saginaw; brothers, Tommie (Brenda) Jackson, of Saginaw and Tyrone Bloodshaw of Brandon MS; special aunt, Maggie Davis; uncles, Robert Essex and Eddie Jackson, both of Saginaw and Russell of Jackson, TN; special nephew, Jamar Conerly and special niece, Crystal Sweeney; other relatives and friends including best friends, Lemont Sims, Kevin Jordon, Eddie Jackson, John Conerly, Mike Robinson, Pete Hollis, David Long, Lisa Williams, Earnest Hall and Danny Essex. Mr. Essex was preceded in death by two sisters, Barbara Brown and Diane Hewitt-Nellum; two brothers-in-law, Norris Nellum and Carl Brown; two nieces, Jolanda McCall and Tommy McMillian; one nephew, Renado Jackson; god-brother, Mike Maul. The family would like to express special thanks to Ashley Care Center and Dr. Russell Anderson. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at Rosehill Missionary Baptist Church, 2403 E. Remington St., Saginaw, Michigan 48601. Pastor Murry Culberson will officiate. Interment Eastlawn Memorial Gardens, 7475 Holland Rd., Saginaw, MI 48601. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, April 26, 2023 from 2:00 until 6:00 p.m. at Evans & Browne's.
