Family hour will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 27, 2008 at the South Seventeenth Church of Christ, 516 South 17th Street, with the funeral commencing at 12:00 noon. Minister Conley Gibbs, Jr. will officiate with interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the Browne's Mortuary, 441 North Jefferson Avenue, on Thursday from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. Mr. Roosevelt Hubbert, Jr. passed away on Thursday, June 19, 2008 at the age of 60 years. The son of Pearline (Walker) and Roosevelt Hubbert, Sr. was born April 9, 1948 in Fayette, AL. Roosevelt resided in Saginaw, MI and attended Arthur Hill High School. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in Vietnam and earning six medals. He loved to fish and spend time with his family. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Patricia Marie Hubbert of Saginaw, MI; three daughters and two sons, Lena Hubbert (Cordelfo), Toshi Lillies (Terrence), Derrick Martin, Keyon Hubbert and Rachel Hubbert, all of Saginaw, MI; three step-children, April Hubbert, Sonya Hubbert and Jason Hubbert; eight grandchildren, Desmond Hubbert, Aquaria Howard, Damareon Howard, Zanaya Howard, Keleisha Hubbert, Terence Liles, Jr., Shanni Liles and Sanaiia Liles, all of Saginaw, MI; his mother, Pearline Terry; step-father, Nelson Terry; sister, Gloria Ezzel; two brothers, Ricky Hubbert and William Hubbert; four nieces, Jennifer (Terry) Hubbert of Detroit, MI, Jazmine Barnes of Lansing, MI, Marlina Ezell of Saginaw, MI and Bernice Hubbert of Lansing, MI; six nephews, Nicholas Hubbert, Ricky Hubbert, Jr., Daniel Hubbert, Jerell Barnes, William Hubbert, Jr. and Ben Hubbert; cousins, Ruddie Terry, Alberta Hubbert, Barbara McZee (Richard) Lee and Renay; six sisters-in-law, Chenitha Hubbert, Diane Poindexter, Evon Hall, Ronda Brown, Kathy Hubbert and Brenda Brown; six brothers-in-law, Calvin Brown, David Brown, Detrick Brown and Arzelle Hall; and many other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Roosevelt was preceded in death by his father, Roosevelt Hubbert, Sr.; aunts, Lucy Mae Hubbert and Vivian Hubbert; and uncles, Thomas C. Hubbert, Henry and Sylvester Ray.
