Mr. Rudolph Wendell Coleman

Mr. Rudolph Wendell Coleman was born October 10, 1956 in Louisville, Mississippi the son of Sam and Emma Coleman. He departed this life on Wednesday, October 7, 2020. He was a long time resident of Saginaw, Michigan. He grew up attending Bethel A.M.E. Church and as an adult he dedicated his life to the Lord under the teachings of Dr. Robert Schuller. Wendell retired from Delphi Saginaw Steering System after 25 years of service. He was also a member of UAW Local 699. Wendell served in the U.S. Army and was Honorable Discharged in November 1976 (HHB 2d Bn 5th 2dADA Armor Division FORSCOM). He enjoyed traveling, working out at the YMCA, participating in the Army Reserve, spending time with his family and friend. Wendell also loved cooking & grilling, working in his yard, shopping, fine dining, dressing to impress and loved his brim hats. He was a big giver and recognized people on their birthdays. Wendell will be truly missed. Mr. Rudolph Wendell Coleman leaves to cherish his memory: son, Wendell (Markysha) Ford of Atlanta, GA; daughter, Shayla (Ryan) Johnson of Roseville, MI; two grandchildren, Ryan Johnson, Jr. and Savannah Ford; three sisters, Helen Brooks, Deborah and Janice Coleman; one brother, Sammie (Lisa) Coleman, all of Saginaw; nieces, Lisa Brewer, Sandy Calhoun, Atonya (Maurice) Patterson, Pastor Evelyn (Roy) Baldwin, all of Saginaw, MI, Eleanor (Lorenzo) McBride of Clinton Twp., MI, Emma Brooks of Brown Stone, MI, Samara Coleman of Grand Rapids, MI and Diara Bancroft; nephews, Howard (Krystal) McClendon, Dambriell (Lamia) McClendon, Kirk (Beyonca) Carruth, all of Saginaw, MI and Theodore Brooks of Columbus, OH; many other relatives and friends including special friends, Robert Gaines, Charles Helton, Priscilla Ford, Cliff Harris, Linda Pickett, “Class of 1974” of Buena Vista and Saginaw High Schools. Mr. Coleman was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Emma Coleman and brother, Howard McClendon. The family would like to express special thanks to Buena Vista Police Dept., Medical Examiner and Evans & Browne’s Funeral Home. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 19, 2020 at Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 North Jefferson Avenue, Saginaw, MI 48607. Min. Sammie Coleman will officiate with interment Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3210 South Washington Avenue, Saginaw, MI 48601.
