Sabrina Garcia-Reyes

Family hour will take place at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 13, 2008 at Church of Christ, 516 S. 17th Street, with the funeral commencing at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Randy C. Sims, Jr. will officiate. Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service. Sabrina M. Skinner was born July 28, 1959 in Saginaw, MI, the daughter of Diane Skinner and J.D. Jernigan. She graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1977. She was united in Holy Matrimony to Micheal Reyes on July 29, 1995. He survives her. She attended First Church Christian Reformed in Grand Rapids, MI, where she volunteered helping in the kitchen with her husband. Sabrina loved to roller skate, take trips and shop. She loved to keep people laughing and have fun. She was very overprotective of her mother. That was her favorite hobby! Sabrina passed away suddenly March 5, 2008. She leaves to cherish her precious memory, her husband, Micheal Reyes of Grand Rapids, MI; one stepchild, Oralia Donald; three grandchildren, De'Vaughntae Woods, LaMar Donald and Chance Donald, all of Saginaw, MI; parents, Diane (Tommy) Green and J.D. (Gwen) Jernigan, all of Saginaw, MI; grandmother, Katherine Whitfield of Saginaw, MI; four sisters, Caryn Skinner of Saginaw, MI, Roslyn (Willie) Adkins of Indianapolis, IN, Jody Jernigan and Kathy (Lazell) Brown, all of Omaha, NE; two brothers, LaMark (Cynthia) Pleasant and DeMarco Pleasant, all of Saginaw, MI; seven nieces, Sharniki, Shatia, Tierra, LaMarkiana, LaMariana, Markia and Ja'Kala, all of Saginaw, MI; ten nephews, Kenneth, Kennard, Cameron, LaMark III, Lil' Tommy, all of Saginaw, MI, Tre'Wil of Indianapolis, IN, Micheal, Jeremy, Sevon and Khamel, all of Omaha, NE; six great-nieces and great-nephews, Dion, Da'Mya, Kenneth, Jr., Di'Onquavis, Ama'Rius, all of Saginaw, MI and Jeremey II of Omaha, NE; four aunts, Clarine Coleman, Dorthy (Willie) Butler, Marcia Holden and Terry (Kennie) Falls, all of Saginaw, MI; four uncles, Jerry Holden of Ypsilanti, MI, Calvin (Peggy) Skinner, Eddie Jernigan and Alvin (Mattie) Jernigan, all of Saginaw, MI; three very dear cousins, Rochelle Brewer, Teresa (Kenny) Matthews and Sarah Flinnon, all of Saginaw, MI; a very dear Godfather, Charles Dawson; three sisters-in-law, Rosita (Pat) Falsetta, Adelita Campos and Deloris Ortega; two brothers-in-law, Ray Reyes and John Reyes and many other relatives and friends, including special cousin, Marilyn Moore of Saginaw, MI; two godsisters, Tracey (Charles) Johnson and Lupe Davis, both of Saginaw, MI and a very dear friend, Janice (Vern) Cross of Grand Rapids, MI. Sabrina was preceded in death by her grandmother, Ethel Thomas; grand- father, Calvin Skinner, Sr.; uncle, John Earl Skinner; nephew, Willie Adkins, Jr.; stepson, Micheal L. Donald and mother and father-in-law, Oralia and Ygnacio Reyes, all of Saginaw, MI.
