Mrs. Shelia Michon McBride

Shelia Michon McBride was born on November 4, 1952 in Bonham, Texas to Robert “Sonny” Jamierson and Gertie Green. She passed away on February 10, 2021 at the age of 68 years. Shelia was a longtime resident raised in Saginaw, Michigan by her mom and step-father, Gertie and Collins Green. She attended Saginaw Public Schools and was a proud graduate of Saginaw High School, Class of 1970. She attended Delta College and was employed at Second National Bank/Citizens Bank. She and her true love, Harry McBride were joined in Holy Matrimony in 1971. She was a dedicated member of Greater Williams Temple Church of God in Christ for many years. She enjoyed sewing, scrap booking, listening to music and taking care of her beautiful house plants. She loved animals and always kept a family pet. Shelia was quite fashionable, “she stayed sharp from head to toe”. She loved her family to the fullest. Mrs. McBride leaves to cherish many wonderful memories, her sons, Armond (Sarah) McBride and Jason McBride; six grandchildren, Kionna, Drew, Adrian, Mia, Jovan and Jamari McBride all of Saginaw; one great-grandchild, Myles Allen McBride, Saginaw; three sisters, Martha Perry, Banning, CA, Mary Perry, Bonham, TX, and Ann Smith, Banning, CA; five brothers, Gary Perry, Omaha, NE, Harold Perry, Murphy, TX, William Perry, Rialto, CA, Tony Perry, Sherman, TX, Terry Perry, Sulpher Springs, TX, many other relatives and friends including Saginaw High “Class of 1970”, PashShawn Goines, Wilenda and Gilbert Jones, Debra Grayson, Delores Bryant, Shareem Traylor, Doug and Linda Lane, Joyce Jones, Larry and Ora McBride, Carl Taylor, Vicki Payne, Judy Dunn and mother, Gloria Blanchard and Lacrecia Howard. Shelia was preceded in death by her loving husband, Harry McBride; one son, Harry, Jr.; her parents, Gertie and Collins Green; father, Robert “Sonny” Jamierson; sister, Clara Alberty; special niece, Shameah Brown and friend, Leo Blanchard. The family would like to express special thanks to ComForCare, Keiosha, Brenda and Johnlynna. Visitation will take place from 2:00-6:00 p.m. Monday, February 15, 2021, at Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 North Jefferson Avenue, Saginaw, Michigan 48607. A private funeral service will be held. Pastor Charles Coleman will officiate with interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3210 South Washington Avenue, Saginaw, Michigan 48601.
