Ms. Shirletha Thompson

Shirletha Williams Thompson, born to Ora P. (Larry McBride) and Nathan Johnson in Saginaw, Michigan, a resident of Bay City, MI, passed away Saturday, January 20, 2018 at the age of 45 years. Our baby girl. One word sums her up, “Loving”, daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend. To know her, one would Know Love, however; only the “real” stayed forever. That saying, “It takes a village”, she had a city. She loved you with all of her heart and soul. Her early education was through Parochial and Public school systems. She graduated. She tried various jobs, too many to mention all by name. She worked hard, long hours. People were her passion through her glorious works at the juvenile center with children, in elder care facilities, with seniors. She was also outreaching in her cosmetology and medical fields. Her hair was always changing: it was her and Betty Tinsley. Christian she was. Shirletha was baptized at a very young age, not because, her parents wanted her to, she asked to be. Her church families: St. Paul Baptist, New Covenant Christian Center, New Life Full Gospel, all in Saginaw, and Peoples Baptist in Bay City. Ms. Thompson leaves to treasure many memories her children, sons, Curtis L., and CaRon; daughter, her baby girl, Camari; grandsons; Curtis L. Jr. and Martez; granddaughters, Santana and Serenity; brothers, Mario (Mary), Demarco, Tori and Larry, Jr. (Ericka); grandparents, Rosie (Rose) Johnson and Dorothy (Freeman) Taylor (McBride); sister/cousins, Sherina Turner, Camille Martin Freeman; sister/friend, Kanah Walker Franklin; co-parent partners, Curtis Thompson, Jr. and Solathian (Tierra) Liggins; a host of too many to mention all by name nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives. Friends, “most” people have, three to maybe five. Don’t get it twisted, when, Shirletha, let you in, you were in. You know who you are, too many to mention all by name. Shirletha was preceded in death by her loving grandparents, Freddie and Lovie Williams and Earl Johnson. Funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 1, 2018 at the Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 North Jefferson Avenue, Saginaw, MI 48607. Bishop Zachary Williamson will officiate with interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3210 South Washington Avenue, Saginaw, MI 48601. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m.
