Mr. Thomas Gregory Grzadzinski

Thomas Grzadzinski, Sr., of Saginaw, Michigan passed away on Monday, September 27, 2021 at the age of 83 years. On October 24, 1937 Thomas was born at his childhood home in Mount Clemens, MI to Peter and Polly Grzadzinski. On November 16, 1957, Thomas married his high school sweetheart, Marilyn (Vaden) Grzadzinski. Together they raised nine children. Thomas served in the United State Navy for 3.5 years as an Aviation Ordinance Man stationed in Barbars Point, Hawaii which was during the Korean War. Thomas was a hard-working proud member of the Carpenter’s Union #674 of Mt. Clemens, MI. He was a loving husband and father, and in his free time he was an avid hunter and fisherman. He also really enjoyed playing pool and telling countless stories from the time he served in the Navy. On May 10, 1992, Thomas became a lifetime member of the American Legion where he earned the title of Vice-commander. He enjoyed working the Friday Fish Fry’s as well as the Sunday Bingos. Surviving Thomas are his loving wife, Marilyn Grzadzinski and their children, Karlyn (Roy) Kowalski, Thomas Grzadzinski, Jr., Kelly (Stanley) Wrzesinski, Mark (Joe) Grzadzinski, Jane Grzadzinski, Matthew (Amanda) Grzadzinski, Marilyn Grzadzinski (Danny Crawford) and Kristy (Scott) Agar; grandchildren, Jennifer and Michael Clark, Kashmir Morris, James (Crystal) Morris, Brian Frick, Jr., Thomas (Clarissa) Grzadzinski, Ami (Craig) Fabus, Pamela (Angel) Gomez, Brian Grzadzinski, Angela (Andrew) Havercroft, Nicole, Schultz and Shannon Grzadzinski; as well as 14 great-grandchildren, Samantha Vanreyendam, Summer and Erica Cogghe, Madison and Tyler Morris, Katelynn Morris, Akirah Gomez, Jae, Sakorah Gomez, Chaz Fabus, Ryleigh Havercroft and Abigail Havercroft. Thomas was preceded in death by his siblings, Charles Gordon, Peter, Harold, Joseph, Roman and Leonard Grzadzinski, Sally Lozan, Stanley Grzadzinski and Rita Odom; as well as his daughter, Cristy (Brian Frick) Morris; parents, Peter and Polly Grzadzinksi. Directly after the service, if you would like to join the family in honoring Thomas’s time served in the Navy, a burial directed by the American Legion Honor Guard at the Mentor Township Veterans Cemetery in Mio, MI will be held. The family would like to extend an invitation to his friends to a luncheon at the American Legion Post 162 in Luzerne, MI where there will be plenty of Thomas’s favorite foods, music and photos to celebrate his legacy. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 North Jefferson Avenue, Saginaw, Michigan. Dr. Willie F. Casey will officiate with interment in Mentor Township Cemetery, Mio, Michigan.
