Mr. Vestie L. Bradley Jr.

Vestie Lee “Fat Cat” Bradley, Jr. was born on December 2, 1966 in Saginaw, Michigan to Vestie Lee and Josephine (Washington) Bradley, Sr. He passed away on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at the age of 51 years. Mr. Bradley was a longtime member of Rose Hill Missionary Baptist Church and later became a member of Messiah Missionary Baptist Church. He was a lifetime resident of Saginaw, MI and a graduate of Ruben Daniels High School. He worked in general labor, loved and enjoyed his family, spending time with friends, watching sports, cooking, and telling jokes as only he could. Vestie was loving, heartfelt, funny and charismatic. He leaves to cherish many memories, four sons, Donta Griffin, Saginaw, MI, Jarriell Reed, Saginaw, Vestie and Quintel Reed both of Riverdale, GA; 16 grandchildren; his loving mother, Josephine Bradley; two sisters, Valencia Bradley, Detroit, MI and Brenda Beckom, Saginaw; one brother, Cedric (Cheryl) Bradley, Detroit, MI; 11 nieces; six nephews; two aunts, Pauline Luke, Saginaw and Dorthy Ann (James) Donald, Saginaw; two uncles, Rev. Arthur (Vealea) Washington and Pastor Otis(Bonnie) Washington, both of Saginaw; two brothers-in-law, Sharron Henry, Sr. and Jerry Patton, many other relatives and friend including special friends, Jimmy Halliday, Dave Parham, Randell Prescott, Otis Ray, Dorthy Cooper and Reginald Prince. Vestie was preceded in death by his father, Vestie L. Bradley, Sr., sister, Vanessa Henry; grandparents, Joe and Marie Washington, Earl and Eleva Bradley; brother-in-law, Sean L. Beckom, Sr.; many aunts and uncles; cousins, Cedric Luke and Leo Dwight Washington; a close friend, Eddie “Big E.” Marlow. The family would like to express special thanks to the staff and caretakers at Covenant Healthcare and Henry Ford Hospitals. Funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at Messiah Missionary Baptist Church, 2615 Williamson Road, Saginaw, MI 48601. Pastor Otis Washington will officiate with interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3210 South Washington Avenue, Saginaw, MI 48601. Friends may call at the Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 North Jefferson Avenue, Saginaw, MI 48607 on Monday from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m.
