Mr. William Clyde Draine

Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend William “Clyde” Draine was called home to gain his wings from our savior on March 9, 2018 at the age of 60 years. He was born on March 7, 1958 in Saginaw, Michigan, the son of Samuel T. and Catherine (Hopper) Draine. William was loved by many family and friends. He loved to fish, barbeque, joked around alot and gives his family nicknames. Mr. William Clyde Draine leaves to cherish his memory: his better half, Doris Draine; two children, William “Too Sweet”, Jr. and Kiawana “Ihekee” Draine; ten grandchildren, Robert, Jr., Jay’Ceon, Dequavion, D’Travion, Damien, Damonee, De’Asia, Zamari’Ya, Amaria and Desiree; one great-grandchild, Kannon; brothers and sisters, Rev. K.T. (Linda), Napoleon (Cynthia), La’Vajah (Karen) Draine, Lincoln (Pam) Johnson, Diane Washington and Margaret Carter; nieces, Shawnda, Charlene, LaTangela Eboni, Ashley Shelina and Debra; nephews, Shantell, Damarko, K.T., Jr., LaVajah, Jr., Julius, Napoleon, Jr., Clifton, Walter Carl, Sammy, Bobby Terry Bruce and Curtis; aunts, Decee, Doris and Bessie Bingham; uncle, Eddie Bingham, Jr.; father-in-law, Alvin Henix; a host of other relatives and friends; godson, Marice Maxwell; god brothers, Fred Lockett, Donald Lockett and Eugene “Blue” Johnson; special cousin, William “Curtis” Draine; special friends, Charlie Jones, Jeff Allen, Edward Bryant, Leroy Johnson, David and Daryl Drake, Jerome W and Donnell McCray, Jr. Mr. Draine was preceded in death by his parents, Sam T and Catherine Draine; sister, Glenda May Draine; two uncles, S.T. and K.D. Draine; mother-in-law, Sara Henix; two nephews, Leonard “QuaQua” Evans and Howard. The family would like to give a special thanks to Evans & Browne’s Funeral Home, Jacob’s Ladder Baptist Church, Rosehill Missionary Baptist Church and all who expressed loved and concern. Funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 16, 2018 at Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 North Jefferson Avenue. Pastor K.T. Draine will officiate with interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3210 South Washington Avenue, Saginaw, MI 48601. Visitation will take place at the Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 North Jefferson Avenue, Saginaw, MI 48607 on Thursday from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m.
