A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 4, 2006 at Refuge Center Ministries, 1030 S. Washington Avenue. Pastor Relinda Mushatt will officiate. Visitation will be held for family and friends at the Church on Wednesday from 3:00 until 8:00 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to the Browne's Mortuary, 441 N. Jefferson Avenue. Funeral service will be held in Chicago,Il on Friday, January 6, 2006. William Arthur Randolph passed away Thursday, December 29, 2005. He was born on July 27, 1933 in Chicago, Illinois, the second son of Bertha and Lloyd Randolph, Sr. William began his education in Christian schools. He graduated from Fenger High School and attended Wilson College, where he studied drafting. In 1952, he married Gloria Smith and from this union four sons were born. William, who was affectionately known as "Bill" by many who knew and loved him, had a great interest in antique autos which drew him into the family business and car repair. Bill went on to teach driving and also worked as a bus driver. Bill owned and operated an auto repair shop. He was employed by Chicago and Northwestern Railroad as an inspector and mechanic. Bill then sought employment in the field of security with Loyola University from which he retired in 1998. In 1987, Bill wed Lillian Washington and blended a stepdaughter and two stepsons into his family. In 1999, Bill and Lillian moved to Saginaw, Michigan where he worked in several ministries, one being the jail ministry, operated through the Michigan Sheriff's Association. He later became employed by the Buena Vista School District. Bill was ordained a deacon in the year 2000 and continued in the ministry of the Lord Jesus Christ. Bill leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Lillian, sons, William Jr. (Diane), Milton (Christine), Michael (Patricia) and Gregory (Brenda); step-children,, LuWanna Pruitt, Ronald Washington and Kenneth Washington; grandchildren, Elgin (Kelley), Michael Jr., Austin, Ashley, April, Tony, James, Jalen, Mena, Bailey, Melvin Pruitt, Michael Pruitt, Jennifer, Stacy, Stephanie, Daniel and Rachel Washington; great-grandchildren, Elias, Emmanuel, Christiana, Alex and Sariah; sisters-in-law, Hazel, Sheila, Hyacinth and Carnie; brothers-in-law, Basil, Roy, Alvin and Winston Smith, Thomas, Richard and Howard Patrick and a host of other relatives and friends. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Bertha and Lloyd Randolph, Sr.
