Mr. William Henry Ross III

William Henry Ross III was born in August 7, 1981 in Saginaw, Michigan to Willie John Ross and Annie Lee Ross. He passed away on August 21, 2024 at the age of 43 years. He attended Ruben Daniels and went on to study Coaching at Lansing Community College in Lansing, Michigan. As a child, William was a member of the New Life Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Pastor Rufus Bradley. William recently relocated to Columbus, Ohio to attend Israel United in Christ (IUIC School/Church) in early 2024. He was a very outgoing person who loved spending time with his family, friends and his dog Silk, whom he loved very much. Some of his favorite past-times were collecting basketball cards, watching television, reading the bible, talking to his mother and relatives on the phone daily. His favorite scriptures were Psalm 23. He leaves behind to cherish memories his mother, Annie Lee Ross; his brother, Willie J. Works (Tara), his one and only special nephew, Carmelo J. Works; his special uncles he talked to frequently, William Henry Ross Jr. of Owensboro, Kentucky, Ronnie Henderson, Jerry Blakely, Carl Russell and Richard Johnson, all of Saginaw, Michigan; special aunts, Wilhemina Ross and Shirley Spencer, both of Phoenix, Arizona, Linda Pritchett and Donna J. McKinney, both of Saginaw, MI; great-aunt Josephine Mims of Cornerstone, Alabama and Katie (Frazier) Townsend and Minnie Shedrick, both of Saginaw, Michigan; a host of many great-aunts; great uncles; cousins, other relatives and friends. Special cousins Ricky Wilson of Phoenix, Arizona, Tarsha Works; Brian Poole of Saginaw, Michigan; Eric (Latrina) Poole of Spring, Texas, Kirk Johnson (Chelle), Angie Swinton, all of Saginaw, Michigan; Allen Swinton (Tameka) of Fort Stewart, Georgia; Ruth (Simmie) Walker of Surprise, Arizona, Allison R. (Bruce) Baker of Phoenix, Arizona, Fontella Russell (Matt) Smith; Carlotta (Winford) Maneice of Athens, Alabama, Jasmine Ross of Owensboro, Kentucky, Omar Henderson, William (Bubba) Ross III of Saginaw, Michigan, Leonard Lowery of Fayetteville, Georgia and Rosalind Lowery of Stockbridge, Georgia; special extended friends Lillie Perkins and Sheryl L. Speight. William, was preceded in death by his father Willie J Ross, his grandparents, William and Mattie Ross; Mattie Bee Iverson; great-grandparents, Willie and Ethel Spencer; Anna Simmons; aunts, Sarah Works-Blakely, Patricia Ann Ross, and Ethel Gloria Russell; and cousins April Johnson and Jessica Ross. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 19, 2024 at Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 N. Jefferson Ave., Saginaw, MI 48607. Pastor James Hodge will officiate. Interment will take in Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3210 S. Washington Ave., Saginaw, MI 48601. Visitation will take place on Wednesday at the funeral home from 2:00 until 6:00 p.m.
