Mrs. Willie Gean Farmer

On the eve of Thursday, September 26, 2019, at the age of 78 years, Willie Gean (Williamson) Farmer, peacefully joined our creator after a brief illness. Mom lived a wonderful and inspirational life. She was born January 9, 1941 in Coldwater, Mississippi to the parents of Ethel Mays-Shipp and Cleveland Williamson, Sr. She married Willie Lee Farmer on September 14, 1959, he preceded her in death. Mrs. Willie worked for Vlasic Pickle Factory, retiring in 2006 after 30 years of dedicated service. Mom loved to laugh, cook, shop, and being with family. She truly enjoyed her yearly Mississippi fellowships with either her husband or her brother, Cleveland Williamson, aka “Poochie”. When asked how she was doing, she would often say, “I am doing good for an old lady”. She’d laugh, then proudly state her age. Mom, you are forever in our hearts. She leaves to carry on her legacy, her son, Donelle “Donnie” (Kezi) Farmer; five grandchildren, Lakimba “Micey’ Magee, James “Punkin” (Monique) Magee, Jr., Walter Magee, Donnelle “DJ” Farmer and Jada Farmer; six great-grandchildren, Alexus Thomas Magee, Diamond Gant, Jalan and Tyler Howard, Serenity and Peyton Magee; she leaves to cherish her memory, two brothers, and four sisters, Cleveland (Modenia) Williamson, Saginaw, MI, Joel (Linda) Williamson, Hattiesburg, MS, Annie Bee Anderson, Senatobia, MS, Estell (Roosevelt) Wright, Coldwater, MS, Mary Pearl Burton, Saginaw, MI and Ethel Jean (Willie) Thomas, Coldwater, MS; son-in-law, James Magee, Sr.; sisters-in-law, Lera Burton and Lenora Farmer, both of Saginaw, MI; brother-in-law, Tommy (Furrnita) Farmer, Homestead, FL, along with a host of loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mom was also preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia Ann Magee; parents, Ethel Mays-Shipp and Cleveland Williamson, Sr.; step-father, James Shipp; brothers, Fred Williamson and Leon Shipp; sister, Addie Mae Donald; brothers-in-law, Leslie Farmer, Sr. and H.B. Farmer; sister-in-law, Annie Mae Williamson. We extend special thanks to Pastor Charles Coleman and the New Faith Temple Church family. Family hour will take place 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 North Jefferson Avenue, Saginaw, MI 48607 with the funeral service commencing at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Charles Coleman will officiate with interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3210 South Washington Avenue, Saginaw, MI 48601. Friends may call at the Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 N. Jefferson Ave., Saginaw, MI 48607 on Monday from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m.
