Ms. Yvonne Bell

Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Yvonne Bell, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 23, 2025, at the age of 73. She was born on October 29, 1951, in Saginaw, Michigan to Roosevelt and Lucy Welch. Yvonne accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age at Mount Olive Institutional Missionary Baptist Church. Her relationship with God remained the center of her life. She continued faithfully serving the Lord at Daniel’s Den Ministry in Saginaw, MI under the leadership of Pastor Taurus Simpson. She graduated high school from Saginaw High in 1969 and later attended Delta College. Yvonne proudly enlisted in the National Guard, continuing her commitment to service. She was also a top sales representative for Mary Kay for many years. In 1995 she began a career with Saginaw Public Schools, where she worked as a dedicated and loving teacher aide. Yvonne, affectionately known as Vonnie, had a strong spirit and a warm, loving heart. She enjoyed cooking, doing crossword puzzles and playing games on her phone. She was a member of a longtime bowling league and took pride in being a part of the team. Above all, Yvonne was a woman of unwavering faith. Her faith was the foundation of who she was. She walked closely with God, spoke to him in prayer every day, and trusted Him in all things. Her love for God guided every choice in her life. She prayed over her family constantly, leaned on scripture for strength, and trusted the Lord in every season. If you knew Yvonne, you felt her faith – not just in her words, but in the way she lived. Yvonne leaves to cherish many memories her children; Michael Welch Lawrence, Neike Bell, and Jaime (Kentavia) Bell; grandchildren, Chevaski James Jr., and Jaime Bell Jr.; brother, Aaron (Mary) Welch; niece’s, Kimberly (Marshall) Williams, Lakechia (David) Parham and Ashanta Welch; nephews, Demetrius Wright, Andrae (Theresa) Welch and Terrance Welch. Yvonne was reunited in Heaven with her parents, Roosevelt and Lucy Welch; her sister and best friend, Deborah Wright and brothers, Daniel and Ronald Welch. The family would like to express a special thanks to Yvonne’s Dr., Janell Jordan, Veteran Kimberly Napoleon and the Advisa Homecare Hospice team. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 9, 2025 at Mt. Olive Institutional Missionary Baptist, 1114 N. 6th Ave., Saginaw, MI 48601. Rev. Joshua Daniels, Pastor and Pastor Taurus Simpson will officiate with interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3210 S. Washington, Saginaw, MI 48601. Visitation will take place 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
