Mrs. Ada Cook

April 1, 1943 - February 19, 2021

Ms. Ada A. Cook was born in Green County, Alabama on April 1, 1943 to Enoch and Mildred Owens. She passed away on February 19, 2021 at the age of 77 years. Ada resided in Buena Vista Township in Saginaw, Michigan. Ada enjoyed cooking and preparing meals for her family. She was an excellent cook. She also enjoyed watching TV, especially soap operas, the Game Show Network and listening to “Old School Gospel Music”. Mrs. Cook leaves to cherish many memories her husband, Rev. Mack Cook, Jr., Saginaw, MI; three children, Selena Cook-Patrick and Darroll Cook both of Saginaw, and Delano (Felicia) Cook, Bay City, MI; step-children, Lee Verth McCray (Sonya), Beaumont, TX; grandchildren, MaKayla Bliss, Cecelia Cook, Delano Cook Jr., Charnice Kinsley, and MyLeia Washington all of Saginaw, Tiana Gilbert, Jamarryus and Celena Cook, Riley and Brook Shoemaker all of Bay City, MI, Alana Pitts, Flint, MI, LeeVerth McCray, Jr., Atlanta, GA, and Sargent James McCray, San Antonio, TX; brother, Levi (Rita) Owens, Saginaw; brothers-in-law, Roland (Mary) Cook, Saginaw, Eyre (Addrean) Cook, Alabama and Leroy (Woddie) Cook, Prattville, AL; sisters-in-law, Cherrie Dixson, Alline Cook, Ann Cook, Mildred (Curtis) Gooding, Julia (Eugene) McGill, Maggie (Mark) Davis all of Montgomery, AL; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, father, and step-father; two grandchildren, Sarah J. Cook and Maurice p. Cook; two sisters and five brothers. The family would like to express special thanks to Covenant Visiting Nurses Association. Visitation will take place from 2:00-6:00 p.m. Thursday, March 4, 2021, at Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 North Jefferson Avenue, Saginaw, Michigan 48607. A private funeral will be held. Pastor Gregory Johnson, Sr. will officiate with interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3210 South Washington Ave., Saginaw, MI 48601.
