Mrs. Allean Cole

October 22, 1933 - May 31, 2022

On Tuesday, May 31, 2022, Allean Cole departed life on earth in Saginaw, Michigan and surrendered to her Savior Jesus Christ at the age of 88 years. She was born on October 22, 1933 in Evergreen, Alabama to the late Buster and Mary Bell Mixon. She married Nathaniel Cole in Pascagoula, Mississippi and later relocated to Saginaw, Michigan. Allean and Nathaniel were blessed with one son, Anthony “Tony” Cole, three grandchildren, Rayonta McArn, Antwuan Cole, and Anthony Nathaniel Cole, all of Dallas, TX and nine great-grandchildren. Allean was employed at St. Mary’s hospital as a Phlebotomist until her retirement. She was a member of Zion Missionary Baptist Church for 54 years. Allean was known for her warm smile and soft spirit, offering encouraging words to those who happened to cross her path. She was a loving, caring and Godly woman. She modeled her life after Galatians 5:22-23 Love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faithfulness and meekness. She was passionate about quilting, gardening, bingo and the race track. Allean leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 68 years, Nathaniel Cole; her son, Anthony (Bettina) Cole of Mt. Sterling, KY; three grandchildren, Rayonta McArn, Antwuan D. and Anthony N. Cole, all of Dallas, TX; a host of great-grandchildren; two sisters, Evelyn (Wesley) Boykin and Ella Mae (Melvin) Hayes, both of Toledo, OH; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins including cousins, Melvie Rolling and Eulene Mitchell; other relatives and friends. Mrs. Cole was preceded in death by her parents, Buster and Mary Bell Mixon; three sisters, Clara Hawthorne, Pearl Hines and Bernetta Mims; two brothers, Gene Autry Mixon and Randolph Mixon; mother & father-in-law, Catherine Powell and Henry Lee Coleman. The family would like to express a heartfelt thanks to her neighbors, Esie Robinson, Shirley Haley, Annie Mae Mayday and Rev. and Mrs. William Brown. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 North Jefferson Avenue, Saginaw, MI 48607. Pastor Rodrick Smith, officiate. Interment will take place in Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Rd., Holly, MI 48442. Visitation will be 9:00 AM until the time of service.
