Mr. Alonzo Wrenn III

August 31, 1950 - January 22, 2022

It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of Alonzo Wrenn III. He was a bright spark in this world and will be deeply missed by many. Alonzo passed on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at the age of 71 years. He was born on August 31, 1950 in Saginaw, Michigan the son of Dorothy (Bond) Wrenn and Alonzo Wrenn, Jr. Alonzo Wrenn was a graduate of Saginaw High School “Class of 1968”. He also studied Theater Arts at Delta College. He was employed at Delphi Automotive and General Motors Corporations throughout his life until retirement. Alonzo had strong faith in God and took time to read and study the scriptures. Alonzo took great joy in simple pleasures like daily drives, outings for coffee and breakfast and watching movies. Alonzo had a genuine love for family and friends. He was a very positive person with warm eyes a kind heart and a peaceful spirit. Mr. Wrenn leaves behind to cherish precious memories, his devoted wife, Diane McCray Wrenn; one son, Alonzo McCarroll, Saginaw, MI; one daughter, Courtney Wrenn, Kalamazoo, MI; two step-daughters, Katoya (Marcus) Porter, Saginaw, MI and Lydia McCray, Bay City, MI; special granddaughter, India McCarroll; many grandchildren; one niece, Cojunna (Frank) Sutton, Pontiac, MI; one aunt, Charlene Bond; a special cousin, Lorraine Bond-Riley and a very special friend, Leroy Hull. Alonzo came from a large extended family and leaves many other relatives to cherish his memory. Alonzo was preceded in death by his parents, Alonzo Wrenn, Jr. and Dorothy Wrenn; a sister, Dorothy (Wrenn) Myles and his grandparents. We lost a special one with Alonzo Wrenn III, he was able to see what was important in life. Anyone that truly knew him, knew he had such a big heart. He would give you anything even if it were not his to give. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 3, 2022 at Evans & Browne’s Funeral Home, 441 North Jefferson Avenue, Saginaw, Michigan 48607. Bro. Arthur Jiminez will officiate at the funeral service. Bro. Cozy Smith will officiate with entombment in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, 950 N. Center Rd, Saginaw, MI, 48603. Visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
