Mr. Archie Cright Lawrence

Mr. Archie Cright Lawrence made his heavenly transition on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at the age of 70 years. He was born February 11, 1950 in Gordonville, Alabama in Lowndes County. Archie was a lifelong resident of Saginaw, Michigan. He was a member of Mt. Olive Institutional Missionary Baptist Church and a graduate of Saginaw High School “Class of 1968”. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Saginaw Valley in 1997 and retired from Innerlink after many years of service. He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Dollie Mae Lawrence; daughter, Tiffany Lawrence; sons, Tramond Lawrence, Derrick Brewer and Michael Lawrence; stepdaughter, Elizabeth Beverly; granddaughter, Jordyn Robinson; grandsons, Derek Robinson, Jr., and Lamar Casey, Sr; great-grandson, Lamar Casey, Jr.; sisters, Dorothy Lawrence, Indiana, Mary Lawrence-Foreman, Michigan, JoAnn (George) Matthews, Virginia, Sheila (Michael) Terry, Florida and Peggy Lawrence, Georgia; close cousins, David Lawrence, Jr., Eddie Terronce Lawrence, Chester Surles, Jr. and Donald “Duck” Lawrence; close friend, Vernon Clay; special friend, Diana Rocket and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews, and other relatives and friends. Archie was preceded in death by his father, James Lawrence, Sr. and a brother, James Lawrence, Jr. “Joon”. Memorial service will take place at 2:00 p.m. Friday, October 16, 2020 at Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 North Jefferson Avenue, Saginaw, Michigan 48607. Dr. Marvin Smith will officiate.
