Mr. Arthur "Art" Benjamin

May 14, 1959 - February 15, 2022

Mr. Arthur Benjamin was born May 14, 1959 in Saginaw, Michigan the son of Robert and Georgia Alice (Veasley) Benjamin. He passed away on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 at the age of 62 years. Arthur lived in Fort Worth, Texas for many years. He was born and raised in Saginaw, and was a proud graduate of Buena Vista High School. He worked in the field of transportation being a truck driver for more than 30 years. He loved his family and friends. He was loyal. He had a special way with bringing joy and laughter to those around him and to people that he’d just met. Once meeting him, you could never forget him. To cherish many memories he leaves one daughter, Phedra Woods and one son, Arthur Woods; step-children, China and Braylon Victores, Brooklyn Love and Bridgett McKinzie; grandchildren, TaeShawn, Neveah, Tre’Von, Angelo, Arthur, Anita Romeo Woods, Destiny Gomez, Flint, MI, Aaiyon Marsh, Saginaw and Braylon Victores, Fort Worth, TX; one sister, Delores (Melvin) Jones; aunt, Cinnie Johnson, Columbia, SC; sisters-in-law, Mary Benjamin, Dorris Jones and LaVerne Watson; brothers-in-law, Melvin, Orlando, Matthew, Sheldon, Stephanes and Joey Jones; nieces, Brittney Davis, Brielle Davis and BreAsia Benjamin; nephews, Andrew Jones, Brandon Davis, Denarion Benjamin, Zachary Jones, Josiah Davis, Robert Markist Benjamin; cousins, Darryl (Edna) Watson, Clarence and Dennis Watson and Dexter Thompson; many other relatives and friends, including special friends, Coy Class, Phillip Gissendaner, Dwayne Farris, Erick McKinzie and Michael Sewell. Mr. Benjamin was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Georgia Benjamin; sisters, Pamela and Janet Benjamin; a brother, Robert Benjamin; niece, Lakeisha Benjamin; great-niece, Breanna Benjamin. The family expresses special thanks to all family and friends their love and prayers. Funeral service will take place at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 14, 2022, from the Chapel of Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 North Jefferson Avenue, Saginaw, Michigan 48607, Pastor John & Wilma Dunn will officiate. Visitation will take place 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
