Mrs. Bobbie Nell Wingard

May 25, 1933 - April 29, 2022

Mrs. Bobbie Nell Wingard the daughter of Tim Harris and Minnie Barr was born one of seven children in Dothan, Alabama on May 25, 1933. She passed away April 29, 2022 at the age of 88 years. Mrs. Wingard was a loving mother, a great homemaker and devoted wife to her husband, Robert J. Wingard who preceded her in death. She was a longtime, faithful member of Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church where she worked with the Finance Committee, sang in the Senior Choir, the Mass Choir and served as a Deaconess in her church and the Saginaw Valley District Deaconesses, and active in the Saginaw Valley Baptist District Association, the District Mission Union, The Wolverine State Baptist Convention and Women United. Because of her passion for cooking and her skill, she spearheaded the Kitchen Committee at Tabernacle. She was a proud member of New Zion Valley Baptist Church. Bobbie was a dedicated parent working with the PTA at Morley Elementary School, Arthur Eddy Jr. High and Saginaw High School. She enjoyed working with the Saginaw County Fair Association. She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Sara and Thomas of Detroit, Robert and Connie of Saginaw, Clayton and Carolina of Georgia, Clinton of Georgia, Donald of Florida, Willie and wife of California and Dorothy of Saginaw; adopted children, Deanna and Sona Carruth and Caroline Jarrett, both of Saginaw; a host of grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and many great-great-grandchildren; a special nephew, Paul of Florida; a special niece, Alzora of New York; special cousins, Jannie Costen and Shirley Long, a host of other cousins, many other relatives and friends including very special friend, Clifford Benson of Florida and other special friends, Mrs. Beulah Almond, Helen Brooks and Chester Sledge; sister-in-law, Bertha Tellis. Mrs. Wingard was also preceded in death by her sons, Robert Jr. and Kenneth and Vernon; a daughter, Helen Daniels and best friend, Ada Jennings. The family would like to express special thanks to Pastor DeQuan Ford, and Stephanie Ford. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 6, 2022 at Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 N. Jefferson Ave., Saginaw, MI 48607. Pastor DeQuan Ford will officiate. Interment will take place in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, 950 North Center Road, Saginaw, MI 48603. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
