Mrs. Carline Long Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, Carline Long. She was born October 17, 1953 in Saginaw, Michigan the daughter of Arlie Jones and Jerry Long. She went home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 10, 2021 at the age of 68 years. Ms. Carline worked at Big Boy Restaurant in 2002 as a dishwasher. For two months she enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and she loved listening to music on the radio, playing candy crush in her phone and playing the lottery. If she felt like you’d done something wrong to her in any kind of way, she had no problem telling you off! Besides that, she was a very good mother and she is going to be greatly missed. Ms. Carline leaves to cherish many memories one daughter and two sons, Lance Laneil Long, Linda May Long Hamilton (Jim Hamilton, Jr.) and Lewis Laneil Long; 11 grandchildren, Eryka Williams, Linda and (Tieriol) Moore, Lil Lance, Cris and Cecil, Henry Pettway, Nevaeh Long, Quin McDonald, Kiana and Ladarious Long, Dequantus and (Briana) McDonald-Weaver; eight great-grandchildren, Taniya Whitson and Donniece Donnakay Gibson, Trenton, Tierra, Trinity, Teivariol and Tiana Moore and Ava McDonald-Weaver; a sister, Lee Ann Donald; two brothers, Warren and Narveil Long; special nieces, Lisa Long and Classic Long; special nephew, Jerry and Richard Long and Jay Rock; many other relatives and friends. Ms. Long was preceded in death by father of her children, Lance Landrum; granddaughter, Fa’tima Williams; sisters, Mary Neil, Mary Louise and Lorraine Long; brothers, Wilfred, Roscoe and Wenfred Long; two nieces, Lee and Suzie Long; a great-niece, Lela Long; brother-in-law, Charles Donald. The family extends special thanks to Uncle Earnest “Pookie” Landrum, Auntie Rochelle Yates and special friend, James Buford. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 27, 2021 at Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 North Jefferson Avenue, Saginaw, Michigan 48607. Dr. Willie F. Casey will officiate with interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3210 S. Washington. Visitation will take place from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
