Mr. David I. Taylor

July 1, 1953 - March 1, 2022

Mr. David I. Taylor departed the earthly confinements of this world and joined his Heavenly Father, Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ in eternity on March 1, 2022. He was born on July 1, 1953, in Saginaw, Michigan to Samuel and Virginia Taylor. David accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized under the leadership of Pastor R.B. Austin at Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church. David graduated from Buena Vista High School. He played tennis for many years after high school. He was employed with General Motors over 30 years. David loved all kinds of music such as Jazz, R&B and gospel. From his collection of music, David went from making cassettes, to malomg CD’s. Name to song, the artist and you had your music. Let’s just say DIT was a recording artist. DIT loved to BBQ and cook large family dinners and watching his sports channels. Dave really loved playing Bid Whist and he was a tournament Champion in Phoenix, AZ. Mr. David I. Taylor leaves to cherish his memory, one son, Demont Mack (LaJoyce); two granddaughters, Demera Mack and Aniya Marselis; one grandson, Trenton Eichelberger; one uncle, Roger Taylor, Saginaw; two sisters, Elizabeth Jackson, Saginaw, Linda Mays (Damond), Phoenix, AZ, Gregory Taylor (Janice) Saginaw; nieces, Tonia Jackson, Texas, Charine Brownley (Corey), Fort Wayne, IN, Viliria Jackson, Phoenix, AZ, Latasha Mays Causey (Van), Phoenix, AZ, Sparkles Taylor, Sade Jackson and Shaun Cage, all of Saginaw; nephews, Otis Jackson II (Archia), Saginaw, Damond Mays, Jr. (Bahia), Phoenix, AZ, Sammy Taylor III, Indiana, Kenny Taylor, Fort Wayne, IN, Nolan Taylor, Saginaw, MI; special cousins, Charles Taylor (Nola), Willie Humphrey (Jewel), Cindy Taylor, Kizzie Taylor Daniels (Andre), Debbie, Kerry Drake (Beverly) Steve Drake, Philip Drake, Lisa Drake; special friend, Rochelle Burrage; two god-brothers, Jacques and Eric McKenzie; a host of great-great-nephews, many cousins, other dear relatives and friends, too numerous to mention. David was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Virginia Taylor; one brother, Sammy Taylor, Jr. The family would like to express special thanks to the staff at Ascension St. Mary’s Hospital ICU. Family hour 10:00 AM Friday, March 25, 2022, at Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 North Jefferson Avenue, Saginaw, Michigan 48607 with funeral commencing at 11:00 AM. Bishop Dempsey Allen will officiate. Visitation will take place at the funeral home on Thursday from 2:00 until 6:00 p.m.
