Ms. Dorothy McCulloh Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Dorothy Jean “Dot” McCulloh was born August 25,1952 in Saginaw, Michigan to Gladys and Roy Zell McCulloh. She passed away at the age of 68 years. Dorothy was a devoted mother and an avid community activist in the 80’s and 90’s. She devoted 20 years of her life to Jones Elementary School as the Head Cook. She was a spiritual woman and was involved in many church activities including: teaching the Youth Sunday School class, serving as a church Nurse and Usher. Dorothy loved investing in her grandchildren by taking them to the library programs every summer. She enjoyed family gatherings where she played cards and dominos with friends and family. As a result of her generous spirit and outgoing personality she was loved by many. Her positive influences on the community, family, and friends will forever remain in the lives of all that knew her. She quietly departed this life Sunday, July 25, 2021, surrounded by family. She will be deeply missed by all who crossed her path. Ms. McCulloh leaves to cherish her memory, one son, Robert McCulloh, Sr. (Tracie Strange), Saginaw; daughter, Gladys (Angel) Fairris, Saginaw and Venus Shacks, Atlanta, GA ; sons-in-law, Donte Fairris, Demicheal Ezell and Lerone Clement; daughter-in-law, Erica McCulloh; god-sons, Craig Meredith, Navillus Hamilton, Derryl Martin, Al Pipkins, Kevin and Frank Clement, Jr.; 16 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters, Cathie (Arthur) Berryhill, Noreen (Nelson) Smoot, Ivory Crudup and Brenda Goodman, Little rock, AR; brothers, Roy Lee (Orita) McCulloh, Jr. and Roderic McCulloh; a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends including special friends, Carol (Turkey) Jackson, Debra Henry, Laverne Richardson, Mary Lloyd, Linda Agnew and Vernice Lake. Ms. McCulloh was preceded in death by her parents, Gladys and Roy Zell McCulloh; two daughters, Sheila Clement and Shon Ezell; three grandkids, Diamond, Deshontay Ezell and Daronica Clement; grandparents, Eula Mae and Nathan Rowe, Willie and Willie McCulloh; one sister, Gladine McCulloh; first cousins, Barbara, Margaret, Shirley, Lisa, Wayne, Billy and Curly; one nephew, Dell; aunts, Josephine Wright, Mary Williams and Willie Reese. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses of Covenant Hospice, MediLodge, Barbara Tomcal, niece, Lakesha Garrett and her Faith Charity Church. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at the Faith Charity Pentecostal Gospel Church, 907 Janes Avenue, Saginaw, Michigan 48607. Pastor Ardis L. Thompson will officiate with interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3210 South Washington Avenue, Saginaw, Michigan 48601.
