Mr. Eric DeShawn Clark

January 22, 1983 - March 27, 2021

Eric DeShawn Clark’s journey of life began on January 22, 1983. He made his transition from earth to glory on March 27, 2021 at the age of 38. Eric grew up in Muskegon, MI where he attended Muskegon High School. In 1999, he moved to Saginaw, MI and graduated from Bridgeport High School in 2001. He was a great football player throughout his high school years. He went on to attend Eastern Michigan University and began his career with Ford Motor Company in 2010. Eric was baptized in Jesus’ name and filled with the Holy Spirit at an early age. He was a faithful member of Messias Temple Church, in Ypsilanti, MI, under the leadership of Bishop Harry S. Grayson. Eric greeted us with his infectious smile and a big hug whenever he saw us. He always had an encouraging word for us, and this is what his loved ones will miss the most. Eric leaves to cherish his enthusiasm for life, his dad, Mosby (Pamela) Clark; his sister and brothers; Tamika (Roderick) Trice, Steven (Esther) Clark, Sr., and Mosby (Melba) Clark II; his nieces and nephews, Aaliyah, Aijah, Starr, Steven Jr. Jaiden and Miles; his step-brothers and sister, Maurice, Glenn, and Ke’Von; step-niece and nephew, Maurshay and Ledgyn; as well as a host of other step-nieces and nephews; his grandmother, Berniece Walker; his uncles and aunts, Eugene Clark, Sr., Martha (Willie) McWilliams, Ivoner (Bobby) Lowery, Marvin (Norma) Clark, Lurene Clark, Hazel Roberts, Herman Walker, John Walker Jr., Veronica Brown, Lynette (Nino) Kean, Jeanette Walker, and Beverly Watson; his god-parents, Pastor David (Dorothy) Gordon Sr.; god-brother, Jahlen Melton; god-sisters, Sharea Melton, Martina Hardimon, and Tyeisha Polk; friends, Jake, Kim and Krystal; as well as many other special cousins and friends. Eric has been reunited with his mother, Brenda J. Clark; his twin sisters, Sabrina and Setrina Clark; grandparents, May and Timpie Clark, John H. Walker, Barbara Jones; aunts and uncles, Ruby Clark, Odie Mitchell, Frank and Lizzie May Naylor, Mary Jackson, Ed Clark, Lewis Clark, Bettie B. Clark; cousins, Eugene Clark, Jr., Lindsey and Diane Mitchell. Family hour 10:0 AM Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at Bethlehem Temple Church, 3521 Webber Street, Saginaw, MI 48601 with funeral service commencing at 11:00 AM. District Elder Curtis Johnson, Host Pastor and Bishop Harry Grayson will officiate. Interment will take place in Forest Lawn Cemetery, 3210 S. Washington Ave., Saginaw, MI 48601. Visitation will be 10:00 AM until the time of service.
