Ms. Evelyn Webb

Ms. Evelyn Webb passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at the age of 55 years. She was born July 22, 1961 in Saginaw, Michigan to Cornell and Nora Wicker. She confessed her life in Greater Williams Temple C.O.G.I.C. in Saginaw, Michigan. Throughout her journey Ms. Evelyn also was a member of Word of Faith Christian Center, Holy Mission Ministries, and Living in Victory Everyday (L.I.V.E.) Ministries; where she remained a member until being called to Heaven. Evelyn attended Arthur Hill High School and graduated in June of 1979. On June 6, 1979 in Saginaw, MI Evelyn married her best friend Troy Lee Webb, Sr. She was employed at Kessel (Kroger’s) of Saginaw, MI; loved by all, personable with numerous friends, and truly blessed and highly favored. Throughout her life she was truly a lover of God’s people, brutally honest, and aspired to go after the desires of the heart. She leaves to mourn in her passing, Troy Webb Sr. (best friend); three children, Cangela (Derrick) Johnson, Angela Webb (Ronald), and Troy (Amy) Webb Jr.; four grandchildren, Charles, Tearra, Dearra, and Trinity; her siblings, Mary (Charles) Bradshaw and Dorothy (Marvin) Hemphill; and special recognition to her close cousin Walter Curly and favorite aunt and best friend Deborah Bridgewater; with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, other relatives, fellow church members, and close friends. Evelyn was preceded in death by her brother, Cornell Wicker Jr.; and sister, Joann Bradshaw. Evelyn Webb’s Life Motto: “ I am to blessed to be stressed; to anointed to be disappointed. To equipped to be whipped, to saved to be afraid!” Life “Life is just a stepping-stone A pause before we make it home A simple place to rest and be, Until we reach eternity. Everyone has a life journey, A path to take with lots to see God guides our steps along the way, But we were never meant to stay. Our final destination is a place Filled with love, His majesty and grace. Today we celebrate the life of a loved one Who has gone before us, the race he has won. His journey has now ended, His spirit has ascended Claiming the great reward With Jesus, our Lord.” Prayers for Special Help Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 23, 2016 at Greater Williams Temple Church Of God In Christ, 608 East Remington, Supt. Arthur Aiken, pastor. Pastor Trevis Ruffin will officiate with interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 North Jefferson Avenue on Thursday from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m.
