Mr. Frankie Webb Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Frank Webb answered the Lord’s call and made his transition from earthly life to his eternal home in Heaven on July 17, 2022. He was born on April 8, 1948 in Altheimer, AR to Clotier (Thomas) Jones and George Webb. He was affectionately known as “Frank”, “Frank-Earl”, and “Dog”. Growing up, Frank spent quality time on the farm with his grandparents Floyd “Big Daddy” and Lunicy “Big Mama” Thomas and graduated from Altheimer High School before moving to Saginaw, MI in 1966. He was drafted to the United States Army in 1968 and was stationed in Germany until 1970. When he returned to Saginaw to start a new career, he met the love of his life, Judy (Colvin) Webb, whom he married on December 11, 1976. Frank and Judy had 2 beautiful daughters from their union and recently celebrated 45 years of marriage! He was also a hard worker, retiring from General Motors Corporation after 42 years of service! Frank was a member and President of Saginaw Travelers Golf Club. He loved golfing and he was a Champion in the game, earning 4 Hole-In-Ones! He was OUR TIGER WOODS! He was also an avid bowler, and even received a ring for getting a perfect 300 game! He was a member of the Buena Vista Township Lions Club for several years, and he was also one of the matriarchs in planning the first Family Reunions on both sides of his family. Frank enjoyed working in the garden and landscaping the yard whenever he could. If he wasn’t squirting his kids with the hose, or building a life size playhouse in the backyard, he was cooking his famous beef stew or taking his family on many vacations throughout the country. On many Sundays; Frank, Judy, Tinene, and Ayanna participated in the Family Softball Games with their close friends that had become like family to them. He was such a dedicated husband and a wonderful father, a real family man! Frank was preceded in death by his mother, Clotier Jones and stepfather, Ural Jones Sr.; his father, George Webb and stepmother, Johnnie Mae Webb; his mother-in-law, Billie Jean Williams and stepfather-in-law, Zeek Williams; his grandparents, Floyd and Lunicy Thomas; sister, Carol Metcalf; sister-in-law, Sheryl Webb; brother, Ray Jones; brother-in-laws, Chris and James Colvin. Also, many other loved grandparents, uncles, aunts, family members, and friends. Frank leaves his legacy and precious memories to his wife, Judy (Colvin) Webb; and his two loving daughters, Tinene Colvin and Ayanna (Eric) Reynolds. grandchildren, Ashley and Fred’l Jackson, Gerard and Arynn Reynolds; great-grandchild, Ava Wilcher; and God-daughter, Kisha Porter-Lawson. Sisters, Cathy Ferguson, Corliss Dawkins, Diana Jones, and Margaret Jones. Sister-in-law, Elizabeth (Herb) Buckley. Brothers, Clarence Jones, Clyde Webb, Curtis Webb, Dale Jones, Robert Jones, and Ural Jones Jr. Brother-in-laws, Jimmy and Mark Colvin. In-laws, Alonza and Charlene Colvin. Also, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 30, at Gideon Christ Community Church, 915 Federal Avenue, Saginaw, Michigan 48607. Bishop Chet Atkins will officiate. Interment will take place in Great Lakes National Cemetery, G-4200 Belford Road, Holly, Michigan 48442. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 2:00 until 6:00 p.m.
