December 27, 1946 - January 29, 2022 A memorial service for Bishop Larry T. Davis, Sr. formerly of Saginaw, Michigan, was held at New Hope Freewill Baptist Church, Ashland, Tennessee on February 7, 2022 at 12:00 noon. Interment took place in Mt. Carmel Cemetery Ashland, Tennessee. Bishop Davis, the son of Mrs. Flordia Davis, passed away on January 29, 2022 in Tennessee. The Briefness of Time The briefness of time, it appeared as only yesterday but it is not so. The briefness of time passed away, the laughs, joy, and tears, they all come forth. The briefness of time surely carried it away. Truly it appeared as yesterday. I know deep within from you to us, How we can say, “He’s the Captain of our soul.” If we can’t embrace his briefness of time, If only we would allow the briefness of time to bring memories, We should hold so close the briefness of time.
