Ms. Lillie Mae Bell

February 24, 1953 - May 31, 2021

Lillie Mae Bell, “Queen of Everything” resided in Saginaw, Michigan. Ms. Lille was a very strong God-fearing woman who had a heart of gold. She was born February 24, 1953 in Shaw, Mississippi to L.C. and Lillie B. Bell. She passed away on Monday, May 31, 2021 at the age of 68 years. Lillie was a wonderful mother and a woman who wore many hats; she was a seamstress who loved sewing, she also loved to dress up in her high heels and dance all the time. She also loved cooking and gathering with her family as well as gardening. Ms. Lillie loved everyone and she was a generous giver with a very humble, sweet and kind spirit. She was an employee for Saginaw County for years. She received her Associated Degree in Business from Great Lakes Junior College. Ms. Lillie was full of life every time you saw her, and she brought light to any room she has ever entered. Queen Lillie will be truly missed. She leaves to cherish many memories two children, Carmelina Bell, Saginaw, MI and Robert Bell, Grand Rapids, MI; god-daughter, Rhonda Dobson, Olive Branch, MS; many grandchildren including special grandson, Triston Bell, Saginaw and special granddaughter, Shay Bell, Midland, MI; two sisters, Helena Bell-Griffin (Marvin), Saginaw, MI and Bobby J. Bell, Saginaw; god-sister, Ruby White, Saginaw; five nieces; special nephew, Henry Bell and many other special nephews and one special niece; one sister-in-law, Janice Bell; a special cousin, Joe Jenkins and a host of other cousins; many other relatives and friends including special friends, Paulette Lowery, Ronald Henderson and many others. Ms. Bell was preceded in death by her father, L.C. Bell; mother, Lillie B. Bell; brothers, Johnnie B., Charles and L.C. Bell, Jr.; aunts, and uncles. The family would like to express special thanks to Evans & Browne’s Funeral Home, Rev. Lafayette Simpson and to family and friends for all their emotional support. A private service will take place. Pastor Lafayette Simpson will officiate. Arrangements entrusted to Evans & Browne's Funeral Home.
