Margaret Cheryal Amos-Welch was born January 10, 1990 in Saginaw, Michigan. She passed away on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at the age of 32 years. She attended Buena Vista High School and later attended the Job Corps. Margaret was outgoing and full of laughter. She loved to cook and try new recipes. She loved to spend time with family and friends playing dominoes and spades. She was very caring and a hard worker. Anything she could help you with she would, which made the healthcare field perfect for her. Margaret was loved by all who came in contact with her, she was a beautiful soul. Margaret leaves to cherish her memory her parents, Joycella (Sonnie) West and Derek (Deirdre) McCurdy, Chula Vista, CA; grandmother, Janet Miller; brothers, DeMarkius Erwin, Huntsville, AL, Lee Amos, Ezra Phillips; sisters, Andrea (Jason) Perry, Las Vegas, NV, Shantrail Wilkins; uncles, Melvyn, Wayne and Kevin (Jeanette) Amos and Darnell (Vanessa) McCurdy, Memphis, TN; step-sisters, Sunni West, Carla and Carlina Phillips, Emma Lawrence Philips and Shanay Dorsey; step-brother, Carl Jerome Peterson; nephews, Lee Jr, Julian, Joshiah, Ezra, Jr., Iseah, Eliah, Sean, Lloyd, Logan and Shawnyell; nieces, Armani, KaiRah P., Aliyah, Kyra E., Sherry and Jade. She also leaves aunts, uncles, step-brothers, step-sisters, other nieces and nephews, a host of other family members, friends including special friends, Tanisha Vaughans, Teairres Cotton and Olivia Forte. Margaret was preceded in death by her grandparents, Sougar Lee and Margaret Amos, Sr.; Otis Miller and Archie Jackson, Sr.; great-grandparents, Joe and Sylvia McCurdy; uncle, Sougar Lee Amos, Jr. and step-brother, Sanuel Jerome Phillips. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 22, 2022 at Evans & Browne's Funeral Home, 441 N. Jefferson Ave., Saginaw, MI 48607, Elder Perry Farrell will officiate. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
